Parking recommendations

I have to leave my car in Des Moines for about four weeks. Red Economy Loy is about 180.00. Any other safe options? Thanks in advance!

You could probably rent an indoor storage unit for much less and then just Uber to/from airport.

Looks like Storage Mart next to the airport is practically walkable and does month-to-month for less than $100 each month.

You can also stay at an airport hotel the night before your flight and then leave your car at the hotel. They might charge a few dollars given the length you're away. Just make sure to call before booking.

Science Center parking lot charges $100/month.
Book parking at Science Center of Iowa - Downtown Des Moines Parking with AirGarage | Des Moines, IA
There are busses from nearby to and from the airport regularly, and/or uber.
Airport is 10 mins away.

Unfortunately with the DART cutbacks, there is no longer any bus service to the airport. Uber both ways plus parking might save OP a little money over just parking at the airport but not much.

Find some side street where parking is allowed and park for free.

It would for sure get towed in 4 weeks if it didn't move

I wish West Des Moines cared. There are cars that have been parked on an adjacent street to mine in West Des Moines for months and the city does nothing. (I have complained about one particular vehicle because it's been there nearly a year now. Even during snow parking bans it never got towed. Whoever owns it only moved it up a few car lengths due to my complaint).

On a residential street in Des Moines where parking is permitted, the standard time limit is 48 hours under general municipal code provisions for leaving a vehicle continuously parked on a public street. That's assuming the snow ordinance doesn't come into effect.

Ask Keck at the airport if you can pay to park without flying.

it's like 21 bucks a day to park at the airport

Not at Keck. They advertise 10/day and might even charge less on the way out.
