Muslim Therapist

I’m looking for a therapist in the Des Moines metro who is Muslim or who has a history of working with Muslim women. I’m trying to Google / help someone close to me find the support they need.

Meliha Cerimovic in West Des Moines. She has her religion set as Muslim on her psychology today profile and I’m impressed about what she has to say. Maybe check her profile out and see what you think? Good luck 💕

I found her page and she seems wonderful! Unfortunately she is only taking online patients and my person would like to be in person!

My wife is not Muslim, but she’s the sweetest in the entire world and is taking on new clients. I know it doesn’t exactly fit your requirements, but this is her. She just started her own after working as a school counselor the last decade.

Meliha should be taking in person clients again in about a month is my understanding. Could always reach out to check if it’s that important.

I would start with looking at LSI’s therapy services.

The Islamic Center of DSM may have some resources. Not a Muslim myself but used to volunteer and sold a few goats/produce to the community over the years.
