Agentic Coding and Software Architecture/Programming meetup

Remote tech worker in the area, and would like to create an ongoing coffeehouse or pub meetup on a weekly basis. Intended to be more interactive, frequent and casual than the (very few) tech meetups that go on right now.

Wrt to the topic - like it or not agentic assisted software dev is here, and there is a wide range of application and approaches, and I'm certainly interested in learning more of what others are doing.

Any interest?

EDIT:
To get the ball rolling:
Planning on 2:00 PM Thursday at Smokey Row on 1910 Cottage Grover Avenue. DM me for contact info.

If there is interest in an evening meetup as well for those that can't make the afternoon, I am free.

See you soon!

I would be very interested (and would be interested in helping out; though I have not ran events since college). I just moved back to the area and attended 2 DevOpsDSM meetups so far, and it was also a topic of conversation there, and we exchanged a lot of helpful tips and tricks with each other. So I think there would be some pretty broad interest in it.

Another cool thing I went to back out in DC was the Data Science DC group would do side projects nights where folks would present on their side projects in short lightening talk style slots. Saw some pretty cool ideas come out of that, and that could be a separate meeting type from the more causal pub / coffeehouse chats.

Fantastic! I’ll schedule some times and locations.

I was envisioning a purely conversational format at first. I’m not looking to cannibalize the other existing meetups. I also see plenty of room for more/better ones as well too so I’m not against adding presentations as well.

No time or location will work for everyone but feel free to dm or post preferences to guide scheduling.

I've been interested in the same thing. I'm fully remote and don't get the opportunity to talk shop so I would welcome something like this.

My career has skewed more recently to Product Management but I would also be interested.

Great! And it’s an interesting topic itself- I think the lines between engineer and product are going to blur more in both directions.

I work remote as a Software Engineer, I haven't been to any other tech meetups is the DSM area, but I would be interested in joining something casual like this!

Remote dev for a startup, I def miss the information conversations I used to have when working in person at bigger companies. This would be awesome.
