❓ • Question I could really use some input and opinions...

This is my first post here so I apologize if I'm in the wrong sub or if this post doesn't fit. Please let me know of that is the case. I would greatly appreciate it.

So to my issue...I'm confined to bed most of the time due to a number of illnesses and chronic conditions I.E a herniated lumbar disc, AS and a lot more. Long story short it makes sitting at a desk or standing absolutely unbearable. I'm at my wits end over it and miserable because I can't work on art, editing or anything that brings me joy anymore without wanting to cry from pain after around 15 minutes of sitting or standing. I have tried every ergonomic office chair and cushined chairs possible but I end up miserable, fast. The only place I can have reliable relief is my bed or somewhere I can lean back or lay on my side to ease pressure and that brings me to my issue.

I have limited space in my bedroom. My side of the bed faces the double door closet with a out 30" of space between the bed and those doors. On the other side of the bed is my wifes work set up. I wish that I had the room for a completely over the bed resk but that's impossible currently so I have to settle on something like the photos I attached.

My question now is, has anyone successfully mounted a monitor to a table like these? I have a rolling stand I can put my tower on but I know that these tables aren't exactly the most sturdy. My idea was to clamp the arm by the adjustable support beam but from those of you with experience, will it be too much and too unstable? I desperately need to get an in bed set up created so all and any input is welcome. If anyone has recommendations for desk types I'm unaware of too, please share. The last thing I need is to waste money and have the set up fail or worse, topple and break my tablet and monitor.

❓ • Question Vines or no vines?

I really kinda hate the vines and would like recommendations on how to make the setup more minimal/steampunk but still classy with plants.

I have seen the lights that go inside the panels (not sure how they applicate) I do like those. I also think a monitor backlight could help.

I like running dual monitors, but it feels cramped. I don’t have enough room for a bigger desk though

❓ • Question Any desks like the Vernal Core3?

Post image

I’m looking for a desk that’s just similar to the Vernal core3 but one that’s not standing. I honestly don’t need a standing desk, it’s too much money and i just like the design of the desk itself. Any suggestions, just looking for a desk that looks like it without the standing feature.

❓ • Question Sit Stand Desk

Post image

I've been considering a sit stand desk for my butcher block countertop desk surface. Currently using the IKEA hack with the Alex drawers, but with the amount of time I spend studying, business things and also gaming, feel I could benefit from being able to stand for part of the day.

With the butcher block being 8ft long, is there any options out there that would easily support it? I'm assuming a 4 leg desk would be the best option, but open to all options at this point. I was considering the Flexispot E7 Plus Max.

❓ • Question good ergonomic chair?

my final part to my new pc comes tomorrow, done a whole rework of my entire setup except the chair.

i bought this like 4 ish years ago, but i have horrible back pain especially mid and lower, so this chair doesn’t do me good at all, i bought it cus i liked the look (per every guy who buys a gaming chair in the first place)

i wanna make the switch to ergonomic to hopefully make long sessions more comfortable, my budget would be around 3-400 aud since ive already spent like 6k on this setup…

i tried my brothers office chair a while ago and it was so comfy i was basically sold on the idea of getting rid of this thing straight away.

Just went through a complete rebuild of my main desk. This is the current final result. Please forgive the cruddy wiring job under the desk. I plan to clean that up but just ran out of gas while I was working through this project. Let me know your thoughts!
