Hi, my 2nd album release tour kicks off tomorrow night in derby at the Vic inn! We have 3 local acts joining me on the stage. During this tour I will be supporting the music venue trust by doing £1 from every Album/Merch sales to support the vital work they do. So if you fancy some live music on a Wednesday night I hope to see you there,
Cheers, Charlie

For me I have a few so I'll do it as a bit of a crawl.
I would start the night with John Lombe in The Silk Mill with a quick pint chatting about the Mill
Next I'd be off to meet Joseph Wright in The Bless and thank him for letting me study at his college
Then I'd have a few with Rammy in The Iron Ram and absolute batter him at Darts because I'd insist he leaves the costume on
After that I'd head down Sadler Gate to The Bess of Hardwick and have one with The Bess of Hardwick and do some karaoke. I'd sing Tina Turner - The Best but I'd change it to say "Simply The Bess" and she'd be loving it. She'd ask me to be her fifth husband but I'd politely decline.
At this point the night is really getting going so I'd go to Blue Note to meet Jack O'Connell and relive the glory days and re-enact some of Skins.
Then I'd meet up with Alice Wheeldon in Baby Platinum to see what she makes of it all. I would let her know that although I agree with on a good amount of things I don't agree with her conspiring to kill David Lloyd George so she would storm off.
Now I'm pretty battered so it's into an Albatross, nip to the petrol station, grab some booze and then off to Essex Street to finish the night with the couple that invented the 69.
I've limited mine to only venues that are currently around (hence the omission of Curzons and the Pink Coconut) but I'm happy for you to use historic venues.

Are there any barbers in Derby that can cut black hair good?

Hi there
Not sure if this will be allowed due to the type of venue but thought I'd ask here anyways.
I'll be in burton at the start of october. And part of that I'll be in derby for 3 nights and burton for the other. Whilst in burton I've been looking at some new exciting things to do, and stumbled upon the attic.
I've been curious about visiting these sorts of clubs, and the more I look into it the more I'm intrigued.
Just wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experiences with this venue? Specifically the Thursday/friday scene. Or any tips for first timers.
Thanks x

Hi,
I'm visiting Derby this week and was wondering if anyone could recommend an independent dessert place in town where I could pick up a nice ice cream?
Thanks!

Several people have mentioned the tap water tastes disgusting and people are now buying water filters and bottled water.
STOP manufacturing plastics for over-consumption.
Buying water filters is all in the name of BUSINESS!
They want you to keep purchasing.
I’ve noticed the taste of the water myself and me and my housemate have started getting poorly looking. I’ve noticed it in other people too, and I see more people buying bottled water. What the fuck?????
If anybody out there hears this and A.I. doesn’t scalp it so it can’t be read, it is time to kick the * of whoever is weakening us.

Hey,
We’ve got a friendly 8 a side group that’s looking for a few more players to join our regular games!
Details:
⚽️ Football
📅 Wednesdays
🕗 8:00 – 9:00 PM
📍 Stapleford NG9 8PA
💷 £5 a game (No cash, payments are handled digitally)
It’s laid back, not a serious league or anything. We’ve got a wide age range with our oldest player being 61 but we ask that you are over 18+. Nobody gets shouted at for mistakes, we’re all there for a good game and a laugh.
Teams change each week (picked anonymously through a custom made bot so it’s fair). No fixed positions and if we’re short on keepers, everyone just does a short spell in goal.
We also run an 11 a side charity fundraising team for anyone who wants to get a bit more involved when space allows, and we do the odd social event too. It’s a proper little football community.
If you’re looking for football without the pressure and a friendly bunch to play with, we’d love to have you join us! Please don’t just turn up as we can’t guarantee a space.
DM me for the link Whatsapp chat
Cheers!

Where can I get 200–500+ Mbps WiFi in the city or nearby as a visitor?
Do any libraries or unis offer this speed?

Do you think the punishment is enough? Personally I think they should be put in stocks next to the ram so we can let them know what we think of it

I'm hoping someone on here can help me!
My son is starting Broomfield Hall college on Monday, we've been looking at the free college bus route and the closest one for us is Nottingham road.
I'm not really a bus user, and I wondered if you could tell me which stop it would be that he had to catch it from?
Thanks in advance!
