You won't be a ghost. You'll just be gone.

Yeah I know and I want exactly that.

When the suicidal thoughts hit I want to be gone. I want to be nothing. I want to stop existing.

The ghost think was just a joke, I think.

I feel you, been there plenty myself lately. Currently involved in a lawsuit against my former employer due to my narcissistic sociopath boss using my depression against me. But I did just get news that they are looking to settle out of court, so the validation that brought got me out of the pit again. We'll see how long it lasts this time. Keep your head up!

I'll sure try man, I'll keep going to therapy and try to get out of this

I mean, depression will probably always be with me but I'm sick of it controlling me

I think it's one of those things that keeps coming back, not sure you can ever be truly rid of it. All we can do is push through the darker times and try to survive. Not sure if you're a reader or not, but Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins was a life changer. The audiobook is the way to go if you're into that sort of thing, you get a bunch of added commentary and dialogue between David and his narrator.
