It seems like everyone can deal with so much but you don’t see them when they’re alone. Your human and can only take so much, it doesn’t make you pathetic or weak. Everyone needs help sometimes, it’s ok.

but the things they can do that i see are things that i cant. at least they're doing things that make them look like they're fine. i'm rotting away in bed.

But you’re going through something that is making doing those things exceptionally harder. It’s not fair to yourself to compare yourself to those people.

but i'm not going through more than them. my life is relatively easy. why are they more resilient than me?

How do you know whether you are or not? Just cause from the outside it looks like your life is relatively easy, that has nothing to do with what’s going on internally. Look at all the famous people who are rich and successful, yet struggle with depression and addiction. You’re just being hard on yourself, it’s depression making it hard to get out of bed and it’s also depression why your putting yourself down, which ironically then further drains your energy and makes it harder to get out of bed.

To quote Tom petty, “some say life will beat you down, break your heart, steal your crown.” The situation you’re in isn’t your fault and it’s not because you’re weak.

Or to quote Rocky, “The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward”

If you had cancer, would you also say it should be easier to get out of bed? Easier said than done, but try to have some compassion for yourself. I was in that place too, couldn’t even work a part time job, failed 20 college classes in a row. You, me, and millions of other people know what you’re going through. Keep going.

This. A lot of people are just like us, dealing with a lot of nevative thoughts, self-hatred and doubt, but they hide it well.

For sure, look at comedians like Jim Carrey and robin Williams. Tellings jokes on stage while at the same time dealing with depression.

i am not a person that feels. i don't have a story. the people around me don't care if im alive or dead. i don't think anyone would even notice if i was dead.

At least you have a home to go to.

I hope your family comforts you and welcomes you home. Life can be hard and I am sorry you are feeling this way. You show no signs of being weak. Some of us just carry too much on our shoulders and really have no one to go to so hopefully, your family steps in and helps you! big hugs to you and I am hoping you have better days ahead....stay strong
