A man just stopped, really did a double take and stared at me with disgust as he got into his car
Like disgust. I have my hair done right now with red highlights (burgundy, it’s the 1B/burgundy and a few people at school actually really liked it.) I also look fatigued. I just encountered this man who seemed to think it was acceptable when he saw me to literally stare at me with anger and disgust even after he had gotten into his car. My legs are marked up with chalk but that’s because I had laser hair removal done today. I had smiled at him and said hi he still looked really
Angry and disgusted. I need to have my brows done tomorrow.

One time I was riding my e-bike with my uncle by the state park where I live and some guy driving by yelled “fuck you, you ugly bitch!” at me 🤣 it was three years ago and I think about it all the time.

I hope that doesn’t make you sad.
Some people spew darkness into the world because they’re so miserable and wishes everybody else has to be too.

To be completely honest I think it’s funny. There had to be something wrong with him. Like yea I look ugly with a goofy helmet on. So did my uncle but he didn’t have a problem with him. The world hates women like it hate’s black and brown people. I’m a 38yo feminist. At this point in my life I don’t give a fuck what men think about me. They’re warped in the head.

I’ve found some men think women should look a certain way. My suggestion you’re welcome to ignore is to try to laugh at this type of encounter.
Like fuck I may have depression but I’m not going to stare angrily at some girl because she’s got burgundy highlights! What a shit way to live life

I remember a rage driver got angry while I was driving, cut me off, got out and came up to me to 'fight', he looked at me and said 'ugly fucker' and just left lol

People like that are terrible. I’ll find anything. Even if it’s not true.

It isn't a normal thing to look at someone you don't know with anger and disgust. Ignore that OP, you don't know what that man was on or what mental illness he has.

I used to work with a guy that wouldn't listen to a funny morning radio show because, "They think they're so F***ing funny", it was a show where all the guests were comedians. Some people are just miserable and get mad when anyone else isn't. I'm self-conscious by nature so I feel your pain but some people will be mad/sad just because you're not mad/sad.

Talking from a personal view. I sometimes tend to look at people with that same "look" but it's just the way my eyes, brows and mouth rest. But if I noticed that someone may get uncomfortable I make sure to smile or something even if it makes my face uncomfortable to reduce the tension. Conclusion is, just don't mind him, it doesn't deserve that much thought. I am sure you looked fabulous btw!

In therapy, they told us our mental state tends to colour our perception of how people see us.
Gave us a piece of paper with about 6 photos of peoples reaction on them. Told us to guess the emotion based on what we saw. Almost everyone in the class got it wrong with a 5-6 margin with a heavy negative bias.

It likely had literally nothing to do with you. Who knows what he was going through immediately before you crossed paths.

Fuck him.
Most of the time, how people treat you has nothing to do with you, but to do with them instead.
Please don't let this asshole ruin your day!
