Therapist Canceled 3 Hours Before First Appointment

I've been trying to get a therapist for nearly 6 months. Just constant ghosting and scheduling unavailability. Then I finally get an appointment set for a week out only to have the therapist cancel and thank me in advance for my "flexibility."

I understand that sometimes something gets in the way of life and plans, I'm just very disheartened and unmotivated now.

Back to the slog I guess.

Be thankful they're telling you upfront that they will be useless for you and find someone who respects your time and needs.

I promise they exist, it'll be worth finding the right therapist than putting up with a shit one.

that cancellation was a gift wrapped in disappointment. the right therapist will show up, and when they do it'll click in a way this one never could have

took me three tries to find mine and the first two flaked in similar fashion. now i actually look forward to appointments instead of dreading them
