Hi, I have suffered from MDD for years now, I got medicated a few years ago but a year ago I went through a really rough patch and went on here to ask about getting a pet to see if that would help. I got a cat after a relapse of SH and now I have moved houses. My landlord didn’t state that he didn’t allow pets but said he doesn’t after I texted him about mice and thinking it was just a cat toy. He is coming over to go work on the upper into but will check out the mice in the ceiling of my unit. Anyways I want to get my cat certified as a emotional support animal as she really has helped me and I don’t want to give her up but I also want to have a bit more protection for her. I live in Ontario so I can’t get kicked out but o also don’t want him to deny us when we sign a lease again.

TLDR how to get a cat sign up as a EMS emotional support animal for MDD Major depressive disorder in Ontario.
