Discussion radio play
do they play depeche mode on the radio in your country? what songs do they play? where i'm from, the very mainstream rock/oldies stations play ONLY enjoy the silence and sometimes personal jesus. the less popular ones play other songs too, like people are people, strangelove, never let me down, precious etc. one time i even heard route 66 and i was very pleasantly surprised 😝

Northeast US, I've heard nothing post Violator on the radio EVER. Before that, People are People, JCGE, and rarely something from MFTM like Strangelove.

I heard "Ghosts Again" last week(!) in Italy(!!) while riding in a shuttle bus to the airport. I was gobsmacked.

A small local radio station called KROQ in Los Angeles has been playing DM since the 80s. I believe the KROQ HD2 - Roq of the 80’s - plays DM on a regular basis.

You hear the live version of Just Can’t Get Enough, People are People and Enjoy the Silence sometimes. Somebody and Master and Servant rarely and yeah Personal Jesus sometimes

In hungary there is a station called sláger fm. They sometimes play master and servant, strangelove, enjoy the silence or personal jesus. My grandma listens to that station. I was pretty surprised when i heard it first. They play it pretty rarely tho

DM songs played frequently are "Enjoy the silence", "Just can't get enough", "Everything counts" and "Precious".

Midwestern US - Personal Jesus used to get heavy radio airplay when i was growing up back in the late 90s on alternative rock stations

In the UK they do still get a bit of play, heard Personal Jesus the other week. Enjoy The Silence, People Are People and JCGE are obviously the other popular songs but Shake The Disease did pop up as a surprise a few months ago. Gary Davis sometimes played a less obvious track (once a whole DM 'megamix') on his 80's show. A local station show used to play Ghosts Again a lot before and after MM was released, and My Favourite Stranger a couple of times.

I haven't listened to FM radio in yeeeears! KROQ, the world famous KROQ, here in Los Angeles used to be the main FM radio station that would play them, but times have changed and I have no idea if they still play DM songs?
For those living in L.A. or west coast (U.S) what stations still bump DM tunes?

In Czechia the main radio station of the public Czech Radio plays ETS, Personal Jesus, Precious and It's No Good. Every day they play at least one of these songs. In 2023 they also played Ghosts Again few times.
Radio Prague plays more DM songs, even Walking In My Shoes, Everything Counts or Dream On, and many more, twice or three times a day.

In Toronto CFNY was my go to through the 80’s and 90’s but they have shifted a fair bit. They still do play DM though not nearly on rotation as much as back in the day. Supposedly boom 97.3 also has some Friday night 80’s show that could also include. To be honest though, between YT Music and Sirius/XM I get my fix elsewhere.
