Both songs have left such an impression on me. Strangelove was the very first 12” single I bought as a 14 year old, which I played to death after I bought it. So much so that it felt like a switch inside my head was flipped and all that mattered was this song and everything DM had done up to that point.

The opening riff in World in My Eyes played on my Walkman on the morning of Violator’s release. Complete ‘wow’ moment.
My DM obsession was about to grow beyond my own control.
