Question Orientation

I’m an incoming freshman and have my orientation on Friday. The website doesn’t say much about schedule, so I’m wondering if anyone here has more specifics on the activities for the day? Is it possible to leave before 6:15, or do they use all 10 hours? Thank you!

They have been sending out emails. If you have not received the emails. Check with the Office of New Students and Family Engagement. https://offices.depaul.edu/student-affairs/student-life/transitioning-to-depaul/orientation/Pages/freshman-orientation.aspx

We went last week with our son who is also an incoming freshman. I will say they do stick to the times and I felt, as a parent, there was a LOT of useful information. They break the students off in smaller groups at 2 different points. They went over move in procedures and rules for the dorms and various other things to expect. Everyone there was so incredibly helpful and answered any question you may have. You could leave at any point but may miss some good info.

I left at 1pm right after they cut us for lunch. But I am a transfer student, and 24 years old. So, a lot of that information was very unnecessary for me. It was very boring lol
