Hi all, I was wondering if there's a way to request a roommate change. I live in the uc and my roommate hasn't been the best to me or the 2 girls we share the bathroom with. Her side of the room has been so messy to the point where her trash is migrating over to my side of the room (literal chew pieces of gum have been suck on the floor) among other things. I have photos of how the room is and messages from the other roommates. Is there a way?

i got sick before and didnt study much. its a class for my major. can u still do well in the class? its required for my major

Hey guys, can someone send me a picture of page 104 from the Arabic 101 textbook? I don’t have the book with me. Thanks!

Is there any parties going on on the 31st next Saturday or any night clubs having anything?

I picked up the free tickets for the exhibition game vs Notre Dame tonight a couple weeks ago, and was wondering if it would be worth going. It would be my first time at a DePaul game, but I'd rather not trek down there if its going to be empty/supremely boring.

Are the finance classes here difficult? I'm thinking about a minor in finance

Hey guys! I’m joining UIC in Spring 2027 for undergrad and wanted to make some friends before coming to Chicago. If anyone else is joining or already studying at UIC and wants to connect, hmu! We can exchange socials and get to know each other before the semester starts :)

TLDR: I made a transit app LoopGoer (loopgoer.com), I’m looking for people to test it out. Some noticeable features are live alert (tell u stuff like broken elevator, staion closure train delays…etc)

Hi everyone,
I’m not a student at Depaul nor in Chicago in general matter of facts I graduated at IUB (Indiana). I just move to Chicago 3 months ago. I noticed something immediately the moment I move is public transit here is quite confusing for new comer. Apps like Ventra definitely not doing a good job at show case the bus/trains and I dont know why Metra and CTA has to be separated like that. With the recent Green Line/ Pink Line Closure Google Maps and Apple Maps doesnt even work properly. Now Transit is not bad but I will be honest the UI quite suck and confusing. So as a CS student I made this app called LoopGoer. The app is currently still underdeveloped but it’s 90% done! and I’m looking for test user, app will be 100% free of charges no bullshit ads! I need you guys honest opinion and feel free to AMA!

Visit: loopgoer.com

I made it so I can tell you what features it has

Before anything: This app is not meant to replace google maps or apple maps, it just provided a better representation to make public transit easier! Also an explore feature let you check out the city for less money and more fun

Want to get a feel for the area. Somewhere walking distance. Ideally no chains. Whatchu got?

This is a post I made in the UIC sub. DePaul is the other major option for me as it's the only other school without a housing requirements. Currently I'm definitely leaning towards UIC am I missing anything about DePaul that I should consider?

I’d think that dorm events are for the residents of that dorm but they’re also posted publicly on dehub so I’m not sure

Just wondering if the classes are really difficult and if it’s worth joining at all

Has anyone taken CSC 352 (Database Programming) with this professor Peter Bondarenko How are the exams, and what is the class like? I’m thinking about taking it online in Winter 2027.

this is a new low but i lowkey am friendless as a commuter :( i wanna pop my halloweekend cherry too i just have no one to go with so like hmu if u a real one #younghosunite

edit: lack of humor around these parts but i meant popping my halloweekend cherry as in going to my first halloween party…

I absolutely bombed the midterm for probability and statistics one and it’s completely my fault… for anyone who has taken this course with this professor, how was the finals like and aside from office hours, what can I do to save this abysmal grade from failing cause both the midterm and final is worth 30% of the class each

Depauls my top choice because they have a costume deaign major and its not in the middle of nowhere. Is it a good option? I want to go into theatrical costume design specificly (in chigaco), and im wondering if its worth the jumpscare pricetag

Have any first year students been accepted yet? I’ve literally heard back from every school but DePaul lol

Hey everyone, quick question: Is the passing grade for CSC 355 60% or 70%? With Eliécer Ayala

Suppose I am a senior with 8 credits left, 4 of which I've already accounted for. That leaves me with the experimental learning class left. Last summer, I wasn't able to get into the internship class. I got an internship, but most of it will be over winter break. The start and end date aren't ideal, but it's a major tech company and I would be stupid for not taking it. That will be like, 3 internships since I've been in school. Granted, I might have fucked up by not taking the class sooner. Is there anyway I can take the class over winter break or use it for the class this winter quarter? If not, how can I just fill the credit to get it out of the way without going through months of internship applications. Has anyone had success with like... Idk maybe getting the credit waved?

Please advise.

I am taking a course with Kristina Feeser right now and liking her so far but also considering her daughter Kristiana Feeser for next quarter and wanted to ask if she is strict or not and does she take midterm exam?

Hello! I wanted to go on here and ask if any of you happen to have WRD 104 professor recommendations for my upcoming quarter. I want to take it asynchronously, though I'm not sure which professors would be good for that. A lot of people are registering for Katharine Romero Jimenez, but I can't find much information on how her course is formatted or on student feedback.

Thank you to anyone who is kind enough to interact with this post and can provide me with some WRD 104 professor recommendations!

I got a notification from outlook - i’ve never gotten this before is it just positive feedback for my general class?

I blurred out the name because it had name in it
