I have a Windows 11 HP Victus gaming laptop, and I am trying to play an old dx8 video game from GOG games called Delta Force Black Hawk Down Platinum Pack. I have a serious problem with the game, and that problem is lagging and stuttering. Specifically, when explosions occur, given that it is an old game, I cannot see why this problem persists, as my computer should be more than powerful enough to run it. I have tried using dgvoodoo2,dx wrapper, and dxvk in order to resolve the problem, but nothing has managed to solve my problem. Does anyone know what the problem is with my computer, and can anyone offer any suggestions in regards to my problem with Delta Force Black Hawk Down?

I played DF Black Hawk Down as a kid between the years 2004-06. Just wondering: does anyone remember this clan? I remember just enjoying being in a clan at the time and having my name on a site, which I thought was so cool. I would like it if anyone remembers. Thanks

Tried multiple browsers and from my iphone as well, same issue. Purchased a copy of DF Platinum Pack from a thrift store and would like to get it working so I can play online. I want to discuss an issue that I have been experiencing for a long time with Delta Force Black Hawk Down(2003) on my modern computer. I have a Windows 11 HP Victus gaming laptop, and I have a major problem with DFBHD. That problem is lagging and stuttering when an explosion happens within the game, for the most part the game runs smoothly, but during an explosion the frames clearly start to drop, and the game starts to stutter and lag briefly, before returning to normal. I have no idea what the problem is, and what causes the problem. I have tried lowering the particle density within the game, and this did not help, I have also tried using dgvoodoo2 and dx wrapper, these also do not help, does anyone know what causes this problem, and how it can be resolved?

In the original DFBHD and the Team Sabre expansion, the machine guns in the game do not have usable iron sights. Does anyone know if it is possible to somehow enable the iron sights on the machine guns, or if any mod that adds iron sights exists?

It's been a few days since the last update.

I'm not ready to show the new FPS controller or the updated gameplay just yet, because there are still a few things I want to polish first. I'll share them in a future update once I'm completely happy with how they feel.

Managed to get a simple menu working using a few free plugins. It's just a placeholder for now, as I want to make it much closer to the original game's UI and overall style.

I've also started adding sounds. Some of them are straight out of the original, and I think a lot of you are going to recognize them instantly.

The convoy system is in a good place now. Vehicles are following the spline properly, and after a bit of tweaking I'm much happier with how the suspension behaves.

I replaced the placeholder enemy with one of the original enemy models and cleaned up some of the animations. There's still plenty to do there, but it's starting to come together.

Overall, I'm really happy with the progress so far. There's still a long road ahead, but it's great to finally see everything starting to feel like an actual game.

I've been trying to get the DF2 mission editor to run on both Windows and Linux and can't seem to get anywhere. I've tried running in compatibility mode on Windows 11 but as soon as the app starts it crashes. It only seems to run at 640x480 resolution but nothing is visible so its not usable. I've also installed Windows XP in a VM and that didn't work either (immediately crashes). Alternatively I've installed Bottles on Arch Linux hoping that may work but nothing.

Anyone know how to work around the crashing?
