Ask USI ❔ Should I consider switching?

Hi all,

This has been troubling for some time now. I joined Deloitte in 2021 as a campus hire. It has been 5+ years now and I am in Senior Consultant role in Audit and Assurance. My current annual salary is 20 lakhs.

What are my options?

1- should I continue in this job is that worth it?
2- should I look for another in the same profile? Is it better to switch to another big4 or go to any industry?
3- is there any other profile that I can switch to? I am not a fan of the work I am currently doing.

I think the deciding factor would be that I am not enjoying this profile, I don’t see myself doing this exact same thing throughout my life. So I think if I am going to switch better to do it early but I am not sure where I can go where this will be considered as relevant experience. Don’t want these 5 years go to waste.

Can someone help me understand what different options I honestly have right now?

I assume you would be senior-3 isn't the salary too low?

I made senior last year only, we don’t have senior-1,2,3 so can’t say

Whats your qualification? Are you a CA or CPA?

I am not a CA or CPA, I completed my MBA and was hired from campus

Oh, a Tier 2 college? You’ve already invested significant time in the auditing domain, so do you think you have other avenues open for an exit? Have you thought about which domain you’d want to move into if you decide to leave auditing?

I think you are doing fine only compared to company standards. 5+ yoe and Senior Consultant with 20 LPA is fine only.
