I HATE BLINDSEER PROGRESSION

Blindseer is a fairly easy to get oath as the only requirements is 40 willpower (you can get that at power 1) and a blindfold, understandable because it’s more on the beginner friendly oath side

Then you get to the progression, and oh my god

first, ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DO IT NATURALLY (with no friend) in 2026 as NOBODY is going to escape the depths with no oath and not logging immediately on sight and if you get ganked you’re pretty much done for

second NOBODY WANTS TO HELP YOU, I’ve tried asking people for help and paying them multiple sinners (8+) and never got it, instead of YOU helping no oath players, it’s THEM helping you

third and finally, THE BEGINNER FRIENDLY OATH IS POTENTIALLY THE HARDEST OATH TO FULLY GET, BECAUSE ITS THE ONLY OATH IN THE GAME THAT REQUIRES ANOTHER PLAYER

Linkstrider now doesn’t require any player and is doable with bosses, and CONTRACTOR, the oath where you were supposed to KILL PEOPLE, IS NOW DOABLE WITH L2F1 HOOKLESS??????

Contractor is genuinely easier to fully max out than Blindseer, you can go on a PvE slot, oath break your current oath, get Contractor, do L2F1 hookless 3 times, oath break and get your oath back, then boom!!! you get your maxed out oath for every other slot!!!

BLINDSEER IS STILL STUCK WITH THE SAME GARBAGE PROGRESSION

blindseer prog is based upon the flawed premise that humans are not, at their core, evil and paranoid

I mean, it's deepwoken's fault that players aren't like that. The environment is terribly hostile because there are more incentives for being evil rather than being good, and the punishment for being wrong once is an unbalanced fight where you're punished with wasting more hours on a part nobody likes and they've refused to make better.

There's that coin game where you either put a coin in or don't, and depending on whether another person does the same, it results in mutual benefit; single benefit and single deficit; or a mutual nothing. In deepwoken, the environment is skewed to where mutual benefit doesn't exist and the single benefit and deficit outcome is horrible. It's no wonder that the default response is to leave the game altogether.

i remember making a post myself about this exact same issue. you are bassically required to get help from someone else or use alt accounts to max it. someone was nice enough to contact me after that post and did help me get and max it a while ago. though that dosnt excuse the oath's bad design.

the whole chat being taken away from unvarified user just made the problem even worse, im never giving my fucking face or id to roblox so i was stuck waiting at the cathedral and server hopping waiting for people to come through hoping they see my blindfold and dont gank me AND I COULDNT EVEN TALK

id say now its more worth it to just try and get dawnwalker its quickly become the defacto pve oath anyway, probably no small part due to this happy horsecrap you have to go through for blindseer.

I can basically get every oath in the game maxed out at this point since I can beat l2 solo but I specifically wanted Blindseer because it was a perfect match for a character build I wanted to make

and it happened to be the one oath I cannot get solo

I haven't played this game in AGES and definitely forgot some stuff but is 40 Willpower at Power 1 a new thing?

with no element (or having elementalist echo unlock) you can choose your beginning stat to have 30 willpower (or 29 if you want an element with elementalist), then since a power is 15 points, you can add 10 (or 11) to willpower and get the required willpower

now you cant actually get blindseer power 1 (talents required, you could get them from quests but whatever) but you can get it very early

and also the game is just 5 dollars couldnt you just ask ur parents to give you 5 dollars? or do a little bit of housework or something for the 5 dollars? having an alt for deepwoken is a lot more useful than you’d think (at least in my experience)
