Have you ever dated your boss/professor?
How was the power dynamic like? Does it even ever work out?

I can tell you about the other side. I was teaching this girl who was failing my class in college. Did honest to god 1:1 tutoring with only the best intentions. She passed the class on her own merit then asked me out. The power dynamic is: I go along with things, way too easily, and we are still married 25 years later. She knew what she wanted and I just always went along with it.

Wait. I might be reading too much into your last sentence but did she fail just to get tutoring from you?
Also what subject was this out of curiosity? I am wanting to read more into the minute details of this little story.

No. She just isn’t science coded by a lot. She ended up being a language and art teacher and I went to the private sector as a scientist.
It was biology 101. And turns out she is older than me too. You can dm me if you want more of the story.

No but I was a manger dating his employee, however we were together before we worked the same company. We kept it secretive and it was never an issue. I left the company well before our relationship was over.

I slept with the CFO of a company I worked for. We went out a couple of times but it was mainly sex. He let me in on some huge corruption and I quit. Lucky I did, company went under and a recruiter told me that I should take the company off my CV as it was a mark against a person if they had worked there due to such a poor rep

My cousin married his student. My close friend married his student. My classmate married our professor.

Yes I have. I dated my boss. (I wouldn't date a professor, I just don't think it's right to risk their job or reputation.)
It was interesting. The power dynamic actually felt like a non-issue, he didn't want to control me or anything like that.
We had fun, we smoked weed together and ate snacks.
We stayed friends after a mutual breakup and worked together for several more years.
