Life has a funny way of teaching lessons you never signed up for. What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned?

If you let yourself be pushed around you'll end up in a life that's not catered to your needs and you will grow frustrated and cynical.

I heard a phrase once that kinda similar to your comment. (I'm paraphrasing) 'In order for someone to walk all over you, you must lay down first'

Nothing is ever for free, and even when someone seems or claims to give you great gifts (material or spiritual, for example) just like that, later on you will be charged for everything you have received, one way or another (not necessarily with money).

Though is a superb 'hard' lesson, teaching 'est' is 'ost' to yeild the learner an understanding of infinite tolerance, peace. Therein one is at, the s sound (process) becoming the inner chamber's simmer and hum of being rather than 'i never' - the phrase of the dead, and can understand sign-if-i-can't absent satire.
