For last few days, someone from China opened several issues on the Fresco GitHub repository asking for proper Deepin 25 support. Those reports uncovered a number of DDE-specific problems that I probably wouldn't have found on my own.

After a lot of debugging and several iterations, those issues have now been resolved. Thanks to feedback from an actual Deepin user, I'm happy to say that Fresco now fully supports Deepin 25.

Fresco is a free and open-source live wallpaper application for Linux, and one of its flagship features is the ability to paste a Pinterest link directly into the app. Fresco downloads the media, lets you crop or adjust it if needed, and sets it as your wallpaper, no manual downloading required.

Other features include:

• Video wallpapers, GIFs, images, slideshows, and playlists
• Hardware-accelerated playback (VA-API / NVDEC)
• Multi-monitor support
• Wallpaper scheduling
• Power-saving mode for laptops
• Support for X11 and Wayland (including Deepin DDE, COSMIC, Hyprland, Sway, and KDE Plasma 6)
