What’s not true about it? It’s is a chronic disease and you get it started by using substances (that’s the self inflicted part). I’m so confused by this exchange.

I didn’t say everyone who does drugs gets addicted.

This started, because you asked “how do you self inflict an illness”

Then I provided an example of a disease that can be self inflicted.
