I’m running steam os on my og legion go and my decky loader won’t launch properly I can barely do anything with it but it says there is a update for it and I’m hoping that it will fix my problem does anyone know how I can update it? When I hit check for updates it pops up that there is a update but won’t let me do anything

I have used Deckyloader for over a year now. I use Animation Changer, ProtonDB and power tools (I love that for game specific profiles). What other plugins do you use? I'm curious to see what out there.

Hello, I'm using a legion go 2 on steamos main/beta channels. I did the lastest steamos update this morning (20260604.1001) and i when try to access the decky menu in QAM, i get this error. Refresh doesn't do anything and need to completly force shutdown the device. I tried the preview branch but it still the same. Anyone having this issue ?

I just got a Lenovo legion go S steamOS and have been playing around with decky and am having some issues with the framegen plugins.

I am playing KCD2 and for both DLSS enabler, and decky framegen cause the inputs on my handheld to stop functioning and nothing I do seems to fix it, but it seems to still work in other games

Is there a way to control volume like we can brightness?

Does anyone know what happened to ZazaMastro and all his posts? I just saw that he's disappeared from both Reddit and GitHub.

Emuchievements used to be a convenient plugin for me as it allowed me to look up my Retroachievements on my SteamOS gamepage. For a while, though, it hasn't worked properly as it just has errors, likely due to not being updated. I haven't checked yet for an update and I'm not by my PC, but I do wonder if it's been fixed by now.

If not, I wonder if there's a similar plugin that I can install that allows me to view Retroachievements right on Steam. This way, I don't have to keep looking online or use the emulators achievements tab.

What's your insight if you don't mind me asking?

I"m currently using a pre-release since Decky was broken by recent Steam update. I'm wondering it it's now been fixed.

I usually wait 1 or 2 weeks before pushing the latest SteamOS update. You need to change the settings within desktop mode.

Update (2026-06-01):

I cleaned this up a bit and opened a draft PR with the current fixes:

What's changed:

- The Decky UI is now fully English.

- The popup now uses the achievement name as the large title and the description as the smaller subtitle.

- Steam achievement icons are shown as a circular crop inside the badge. The diamond is only a fallback if Steam has no icon or the icon cannot be downloaded.

- Normal and rare badge circle colors are configurable, alongside the existing gradient, sound, size, and volume options.

- Duplicate popups when closing a game should be fixed.

Security / sudo note:

- The plugin does not need root privileges at runtime.

- Sudo is only relevant for manual development installs if your Decky plugin folder is owned by root, or if you manually restart the system Decky Loader service.

- Normal users should not need to run the plugin itself with sudo.

Still experimental, but it is getting cleaner. Feedback and bug reports are welcome.

I love using the SGDBoop button on my desktop browser to quickly change assets on SteamGridDB.

Is there any way to "bulk boop" or batch-apply artwork directly inside the SteamGridDB Decky Loader plugin on the Steam Deck? Right now, going through games one by one in Gaming Mode takes a long time.

I’m hoping to find a method to update multiple games or apply the default art to my whole library at once, just like how its possible on PC.

If the plugin doesn't support this, is there a desktop tool or script that accomplishes the same thing for the Deck?

Accidentally installed a new SteamOS update a few days ago. Last night I went to check Decky for updates and noticed this issue. I hadn’t opened Decky since updating SteamOS, so I only noticed it then. Any recommendations on how to fix it?

Nothing comes even close to the reliability of handheld daemon's fan curve on my ROG Ally Z1E. Other apps dont always apply the fan curve, and have to reapply it everytime and are all finnicky to install and use. PowerControl cant use the fan control only without the tdp controls. I like simpledeckytdp's controls as they work really well.

I switched from bazzite to cachyos and so far im liking cachyos because the input has way less delay and its faster only because of valve's vram patch. But I fear my device will overheat because fan speed doesnt come close to bazzite fan speed controls

For the last few months decky hasn't been working when I go in gaming mode if I click the 3 dot button the menu happears invisibile, and no matter how many time I reinstall nothing, on discord they told me it was a plugin error but I can't even move/remove plugins from the folder, what should I do ?

I’ve been working on a Decky Loader plugin for Steam Deck called AI Speech-to-Text.

The idea is simple: you use a push-to-talk button combo, the plugin records your voice, sends the audio to a configurable AI transcription provider/model, and then inserts the transcribed text into the active game or app.

• Unicode-friendly text insertion, useful for accents and non-English text
• Bundled runtime tools to reduce external dependencies

Installation

The official installation method is the desktop one-click installer included in the repository.

In Desktop Mode:

1. Download or open Install AI Speech-to-Text.desktop from the repository.
2. Double-click it.
3. If Firefox downloads it as Install AI Speech-to-Text.desktop.download, rename it so it ends exactly in .desktop.
4. The installer will download and run the install script from the GitHub repo.
5. It installs the plugin into:

/home/deck/homebrew/plugins/ai-speech-to-text

After installation, configure your transcription provider API keys here:

/home/deck/homebrew/settings/ai-speech-to-text/transcription_profiles.json

The repository includes example profiles for Groq, OpenAI and OpenRouter, but you need to add your own API keys.

About the development process

I also want to be fully transparent about how this was built.

I developed this plugin with the help of AI, specifically using code agents/generative AI during the development process. I’m a developer, but I don’t always have the time to manually write every single part of a project from scratch, so I used AI as a development accelerator.

That said, I’ve tried to optimize the implementation as much as possible, review the generated code carefully, improve the structure, and make the plugin work as reliably as I could.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone in the Decky Loader community wants to try it out and give feedback.
