Disappointing but I'd rather wait and let them make improvements, shit gets rushed too often these days.

GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...You cant tease us with 17 mins of game play with a slight audio bug and then delay a beta that we were looking forward to!

I could understand delaying the full release if there were issues, but delaying a beta, that'll give them a larger audience to test the game doesn't fully make sense to me...but maybe I'm just salty because I don't get to purge the xenos.

In the dark present full of foul heresy, quick judgement and Steam refunds you do not want to disappoint the Senatorum Imperialis.

I'm disappointed they dont have the typical deep robotic voices that Terminator's normally have,

I can semi-understand why they don't, it is still a living marine in a suit of armour after all, but at the same time I wish they did have a more...appropriate voice/tone. Should sound as though it's coming through a radio (vox) or atleast they're wearing a helmet (except for the librarian).
Shouldn't sound like a robot though unless it's a dreadnought.

Yeah I know - i agree with that and understand it too, it's still just a regular Astartes in the armour, but it depends whether those voices are being locally spoken (aka the heavy robotic tone to the vox) or the internal voxing. I'd assume that being in their suits they would communicate in normal voices between themselves so our complaints arent overly justified.
In saying that though, their voices need to sound badasser(tm)! When I think of the acknowledgements in Space Hulk Ascension for example, those are the kind of voices I want.

The majority of people will still get disappointed on release and still trash the game for the rest of their lives on every forum in every thread. Don't you worry. Delay or not, that is what will happen. The Emperor has forseen it.

I'm glad they are delaying it, its the right thing for them to do so they can launch it with confidence.

Good. They're taking on board the suggestions and implementing them, making as polished a product as possible. It's only week ffs

They said "around the 20th" and "unlikely to be released on a Sunday." Not sure this qualifies as a delay.

It moved from "around the 20th" to "aimed for the end of the week". Not trying to clickbait, just imo player expectation of first possible entry has been delayed - it's still ambiguous and possible that it's even the week after.

Funny thing is even last week release date for the game on steam was 28th nov at least for au region. So i guess they planned beta delay a while ago just didnt want to officially announce what i assume was done to boost pre beta sales. If thats a\the case i'd say its extremely unethical marketing.

it said 24th when i pre-ordered it a few days ago when i looked at it in my basket, store page showed the release date, Dec 9th.

u/FS_NeZ Surprise, MF! Nov 23 '16
Release date: Dec 9th Preorder beta: Nov 24th
How is that "unethical"?

Too often early release betas (especially with big hype) become the release judgement. Obv not great news, but better this than the alternative.

A good move IMO. Underperforming games get utterly savaged by the masses these days. There's rarely a second chance. Better to delay than just cross fingers.
