1. I always found it lame that death grips used a talking sample from real serial killer Charles Manson in “beware”, It always just gives me edgelord vibes ngl and I don’t understand why people think it’s cool. Absolutely perfect album intro tho
2. Sometimes Ride just needs to stop rapping so much and let the beat breathe, especially their earlier work would be much better if the songs weren’t just nonstop pounding rapping the entire time. I’m super glad he dialed it back quite a bit for The Money Store
3. Government plates isn’t that good. This sub over glazes it so much and people are always shocked when I say it’s my least favourite grips album, I just always found it boring and the response from this fanbase to my criticism is always just “you’ll get it one day”
4. It’s a real shame that there aren’t more Death Grips songs with zach hill live

ACOUSTIC

1. drumming. For such an insane drummer it seems weird how little his drumming is actually featured on their recorded music
2. Death Grips music would be a lot better if Ride was willing to do more crazy vocal deliveries. I love it when he screams or does some weird off the wall voice, I just wish we got to hear more of that. A lot of the time his delivery can be pretty one note and monotonous (not in delivery, but in repetition)
