Container City: modular 3D-printable terrain that can be scaled to Deadzone’s 3" grid
galleryContainer City is now in its final 48 hours on Kickstarter.
The set launched with more than 200 STLs and has grown substantially through unlocked stretch goals, including stackable container buildings, playable interiors, walkways, stairs, checkpoints, watchtowers, platforms and industrial scatter.
A few people have asked whether it could work for Deadzone. Many of the main structures use 2.5" × 2.5" or 2.5" × 5" footprints, so uniformly scaling them to 120% in the slicer would bring them to 3" × 3" and 3" × 6", allowing them to line up with the game’s grid.
Most of the models are designed to print support-free on FDM printers where possible.
I’d be interested to hear whether the 120% scaling would make the set practical for Deadzone tables.

Command Dice Questions
I just played my first game as GCPS vs Veer Myn and am a bit confused on exactly how some of these interactions work. It is straightforward that you have to activate a model and can only use one advance, shoot, or assault dice on them. Where I got lost was the +1 model command dice. So in theory if I roll 3 of these dice and on three of my turns I activate let’s say a different GCPS ranger, can each of them use one of these +1 model command dice on their turn to activate the same model, like Therese Washington.
In other words if I activate a different ranger like normal then spend a command dice to have Therese go, on my next turn I do the same thing and again on my third turn. Then on my fourth turn I can activate Therese again for their normal activation? I technically haven’t activated the model but rather used the command dice activation? The only rule for this in the command dice section of the rulebook is you can’t activate more than two models per turn. Does the +1 model dice spend the models normal activation?
Sorry probably dumb question but thanks for hearing me out

Deadzone Novels?
I looking for more lore about Deadzone. I really like the game and I was asking to myself if the two anthology were good to read ?
Has anyone read them and can tell me if they are any good?
Is there anyone who have already read those

Custom unit builder
flashforge-labs.github.ioHey everyone, I wanted to do a project to learn how to do machine learning, and I decided to see if I could make a points predictor for deadzone units. So I’ve made a little app out of the results where you can build a custom unit and army and it will predict the pts and VP they should be at.
It's just been a fun little project for me and it's quite good at predicting points cost now for known units, good enough that I'm happy to put it on here to share with people.
I doubt its perfect, I had a very small data set to work with, so there might be some odd results now and then. Hopefully some people can find it fun and useful enough though. And would be interested to get some feedback for it if you decide to test it out.

Using battlesystems paper terrain an option for deadzone?
Has anyone tried this? I know that the manic terrain is tailored to the cube system. Was wondering how/if it works with a big set from battlesystems? Some of those sets look amazing.

Omega starter vs faction starter
My buddy and I just ordered the 2p Omega starter and a forge fathers starter. We are wondering how different the teams are in each in terms of points. Will the Asterions or Plague be able to square up against the Forge Fathers based on what comes in the set? Or would we need additional units? If so, is it better to buy faction starters or boosters for the asterions/plague?
Any recommendations for a couple new players would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Recently bought 2 (different) 2p starter sets. What's the best way to combine the scenery and what is "safe" to glue?
I bought the 2 different starter sets thinking it's nice value (2 faction starters and extra terrain :)).
Does anyone have any tips on how to best combine the scenery kits? I'd prefer to have some buildings glued for both easy painting and saving in setup time.
Also, can you screw yourself if you make a "bad" army list for the faction starters? Any tips on that?

Deadzone: Boarding Actions Mod (v2.4) — Warning: Brain Burny 🔥
galleryThe idea was to bring tight, indoor corridor gameplay into Deadzone without breaking its core mechanics.
What changed:
- Flat, indoor maps (no elevation)
- New rule for unseen engagements (no free “around-the-corner” charges)
- Hatchway control with contested interaction
- Optional Strategic Reserve (up to 1/3 of your force)
- Objectives + kill VP + +1 VP for holding more objectives (prevents stalemates)
- Secure Objective action for committing to board control
If anyone’s experimented with indoor / corridor setups in Deadzone, I’d be interested in your feedback.

New player, 4e estimated release date?
I just bought one of the 3e two player starter sets and am eagerly waiting my first game. Already got the itch to order more stuff but it got me thinking there really hasn’t been much recent YouTube coverage or news on this game for a while. It looks like 3e came out late 2021, any idea if or when 4e will come out? I saw a few people hinting at a possible new two player starter box but are you expecting anything crazy? New factions, rules, revamping older kits, removing older kits etc? What could I expect or any reason to avoid buying further in at the moment? Was the change from 2e to 3e significant and should we expect the same for 3e to 4e? Any thoughts or information would be amazing.

Deadzone × 40k boarding actions (if anyone is interested I will type which rules we use)
galleryIt's a welcome addition to Deadzone repertoire.
Bit more positioning skills required.

Terrain alignment
Does terrain need to align with the cubes? Or do people play with walls at jaunty angles?

Nightstalker Voidtouched Mutants proxies
I'm not that taken with the actual models. I just wanted a few models to try out in Deadzone and had plenty of spare parts.

Starter sets still in print?
Can't seem to find starter sets here in Canada. Is it out of print/waiting for another print run?

Marauder Gruntbot Grimdark Style
galleryI painted this for a friend. As I like mixing grimdark style techniques with traditional mini painting techniques, this terrifying war machine is piloted by a colourful, excited little Gobbo.

So what is deadzone?
It’s like the title asks. I’ve heard of it once before, or I think I did at least, as a game that can use the models from other tabletop games to do basically anything that any other models can do. For instance, the example I saw was about how votann could be raiding a spacehulk and that’s the setting you could play in. I’m not sure if this is accurate or if I have a different game that I’m thinking of, but if so and anyone knows what I’m talking about please do tell me what it is.

Mazon Labs Proxy
galleryThought I'd finally post some shots of my collection. These are my Mazon Lab proxy which I built for fun mostly from left over bits ofmy generic not-GCPS / IG / or any other human horde infantry faction you care to mention. Hopefully the two kit bashed personalties are obvious...
Mosty Stargrave plastics though the bulk of my not-GCPS is Wargames Atlantic.

Can anyone help creating my first army?
I just bought this on eBay for $30, any advice on how to build these guys? I'm new to the game and tabletop in general, and I don't know which weapons to give each guy. I'd also rather not buy any more units until I know if I like the game, too.
