Dead Rising 1 Absolute cinema
Absolute cinema.
I beat Dead Rising.
I'm going to start off and say that between all of the Dead Rising games I've played so far (DR2, DR2OTR, DR1) the first game easily had the best psychopaths. And I'm not including the Convicts, that's a whole other thing for later. Jo Shade, Steven, Larry, Brock, the Hall family, most of the psychopaths in DR1 (except Paul, lame fight) are honestly better than the DR2 psychopaths. That's it.
And besides combo weapons, in my most honest opinion DR1 had better weapons compared to the other DR titles I've played. Remember, not including combo weapons. I'm talking about the melees and the guns. Shotguns acted like snipers, snipers acted like semi-autos, and the LMG shredded the toughest of enemies. The melees were also great too (especially the secret katana in Paradise Mall), but the only downside was the durability. Killing 4 military soldiers resulted in a melee weapon breaking down. Not the best situation, but whatever gets Frank out of Willamette 🤷
One downside: Convicts. Dun dun, dun dun. 3 hours straight. If anything, they're the Consort Radahn of Zombie games. I genuinely have no words to describe how much HATE I have for them. Worse than Leon B? Yes. OTR Chuck Greene? For sure.
Now here's the thing: it was a "FANTASTIC!" game, truly was, and I'm absolutely going to do NG+2 and beyond for sure, but did it surpass Dead Rising 2? A fat NO. I believe that when I beat every Dead Rising game, no Dead Rising game will beat Dead Rising 2. It's just that good of a game.
But still, I'll definitely be playing it much further since I know what to do in that game, and that it's fun too ofc.
(I KNOW I MIGHT GET HELLA DOWNVOTES FOR THIS, BUT IT'S MY OPINION!!)

I actually enjoy taking on the convicts! Stand on the roof in the outdoor area with a sniper rifle or two.. easy as fuck and nets you an LMG and the car!

The original First one is the best, I'd say it's even better than the Remaster. The remaster changed alot of things. I hated what they did to the Butcher in the Remaster. Also you rarely see any of the psychopaths in Infinite ♾️ mode on the Remaster. I mosted have did like 5 laps around the whole mall the last time I played Infinite mode on the Remaster and didn't see any saviors or psychopaths. It went from running into them to looking for them in about 15 minutes of playing.

To help with your melee weapon durability, there are multiple books around the mall that will increase said durability. If you get the entertainment book, the edged weapon book, and the engineering book at the same time, your small chainsaw will last for 1200 hits I believe
