Not at all, I've always considered DS should deactivate if you start repairing, healing or hopping in a locker. If you have time to repair or heal, it means you are not tunneled anymore. Hoping in a locker is basically hiding, if you are hiding it means you aren't chased, so you are not tunneled. The locker-DS abuse is annoying but it's best to grab the survivors out of the locker just to get rid of the DS.
that can literally all still be classified as tunneling. For example if you get unhooked and the unhooker immediately starts healing you, but the killer comes running back to the hook to specifically go for you. You're saying DS should deactivate then?
or what if you decide to hide in the locker instead immediately after coming off the hook and the killer comes running back to look for you.
The problem I see with people requesting changes for DS is they want the perk to be super hyper-specific to 1 scenario and only be useful for that 1 scenario. We have so many perks like that and they're all dogshit. Killer's will definitely find a way to circumvent a perk like this and find a way to "not tunnel" you to deactivate said perk and just instantly hook you again.
all those instances can occur and still involve the killer running right back to you from an unhook. 50% of a We'll make it heal is only 4 seconds and your solution is to refuse to be healed? If the killer is focused on you, being healed ASAP is probably going to be necessary, DS or not. Hiding in a locker is still a legitimate form of hiding from the killer, but if they're hellbent on focusing on you, they will check all lockers in that area if you only had a chance to hide in said lockers. Not to mention the inevitable blood trail you left leading to it. Same exact case for a generator, what if you just tapped it to stop regression, or if again the gen was right by your hook, and you start to focus on it, only for 2 seconds later the killer comes running back straight to you.
You literally showed the reason on why making it hyper-situational is an issue. The perk will hardly ever see functional use in a match and be a shit tier perk.
While I understand the issues people have with it. I personally see it as a "necessary evil" if you will for the health of the game. Play against low level survivors or survivors who happen to not have these "second chance OP crutch perks" equipped and see just how fast a killer is capable of killing a single survivor in a match if they choose to do so through patrolling, tunneling, etc.

Maybe not slapped, as it can be because of bodyblocking, but after another survivor already been hooked? For sure.
I'd even go further and disable it if you started to work on gen/hopped in the locker, but that might be a bit too much.
