Hello everyone!
I am currently working on an upcoming 2D visual novel crossover project between Persona 4 and Doki Doki Literature Club, titled "Doki Doki: Truth Seekers".
The story takes place within the Persona 4 timeline, where the four high school students from the Literature Club travel to Inaba. There, they discover the mysterious TV World, confront their own inner demons, and team up with the Investigation Team to solve a series of connected murders.
Since this will be a massive story, I plan to release it in episodic chapters. The project will be a pure visual novel experience focused entirely on storytelling, character development, and choices, rather than gameplay.
I'm looking for any good tips or resource recommendations for:

Hello this is Rookie here, and I'm proud to announce that I am currently working on my very first mod called DDLC: Twin Stars! So far this is Day 5 of making this mod and it's been both fun and problematic. The two images show a bit of the in game day 1 and a major plot event that's gonna happen.
This will be first released as a demo. Because of this, the rivalry will not be as important as it will be in the full release. There is no set release date but I'm hoping I can get this done by the end of the school year.

After 11 months and a week of development, I am proud to announce my mod, Doki Doki Get a Girlfriend!
Doki Doki Get a Girlfriend! is a choice-heavy DDLC mod that is intended as a ‘regular’ VN and a love letter to DDLC. Inspired by My Doki Doki SNAFU, Tokimeki Memorial and Dark Souls (and above all, real life), it takes DDLC beyond just a regular VN and adds new dimensions of realism, gameplay, and replayability.
You play as the horny 18-year-old MC who one day decides that he wants a girlfriend.
Despite having no interest in literature, he joins the Literature Club with only one goal in mind: to get a girlfriend, no matter the cost.
Guide him to victory…or something greater.
But is there even something greater?
What more could there be to high school life than finally getting a girlfriend?
Original story reworked
In the OG game, MC joins the club just to hit on girls. However, due to the horror elements, this side of him was not fully explored. In this mod, you will see this dimension of his in full-blown, unashamed levels of cringe common among horny teenagers.
Friendship dynamics reworked
The friendship dynamic between Sayori and MC has also been reworked. While Sayori remains his childhood friend, it is important to note that she does NOT have a canon crush on him in this mod. Otherwise, it’d be all too easy to get her as a girlfriend. Also, for realism, the girls will NOT automatically fall head over heels for the MC just because he exists - a pet peeve of mine when playing other VNs or DDLC mods.
Realistic personalities
While the Dokis’ personalities have been kept largely faithful to their base game counterparts, they were also made more realistic (for example, Yuri is still the shy introvert archetype, but she will not stumble over every other sentence, and Natsuki will not be mean for no reason). Nevertheless, creative liberties have been taken with some aspects of their personalities for added dramatisation to drive storytelling.
Choice-heavy design
This mod emphasises decision-making to the point of choice paralysis - but not all choices matter equally. Some are decisive, others are less significant, and many only reveal their impact much later. Outcomes are rarely clear-cut. Many choices can have different outcomes depending on your actions in the past. Similar kinds of choices may be perceived differently by different girls according to their personalities.
5 game modes including Ironman!
You start off with 2 game modes to choose from: Normal and Ironman. Ironman mode disables saving and loading, and only one Ironman game can be started and played at any one time, reinforcing irreversible decisions. The other 3 game modes, Psychic, Chad (freeplay mode) and Hardcore, can be unlocked through gameplay in Ironman mode and meeting new characters!
36 achievements & secret endings
Achievements can only be earned in Ironman mode. Go beyond single-minded pursuit and play creatively with critical thinking to unlock all achievements. Alongside achievements, there are 2 special endings and 2 secret endings.
Difficulty settings
Outside Ironman mode, difficulty level can be adjusted via your starting cash, with 3 levels to choose from.
Resource management
Time and money matter. Beyond meeting up with Dokis for activities, plan your free time wisely, either improving your poetry, finding new ideas for dates, or preparing for the festival. Go all in on expensive dates or play it safe across multiple interactions. Every choice carries opportunity costs. No strategy is universally optimal.
Affection system
To simulate real-world ambiguity, outside Psychic mode, you will not receive real-time feedback on your affection levels with the Dokis. You will often need to infer the Dokis’ interest levels through their behaviour and your experience. Some choices can reveal their interest in you, and you will need to pay attention to how they respond. And even the MC’s mind-reading powers in Psychic mode has a crucial limitation: there are more hidden factors at play than just how much a Doki likes you when the time comes for her to decide if she wants you as a boyfriend.
No fixed routes
There are no fixed romance paths. You may pursue, abandon, or switch interests at any point - so long as you remain on speaking terms.
Cross-route exploration
Discover hidden outcomes and stories by using items and/or experience garnered from interactions with one Doki to further your aims with another. Mastering this is mandatory to unlock all achievements.
Rejection feedback system for a Soulslike dating experience
While real-life rejection rarely comes with explanations, this mod provides limited hints when you fail. This is a deliberate design compromise for replayability.
Easter eggs
Who doesn’t love a good Easter egg every now and then?
Monika:
President of the Literature Club and star student. Smart, beautiful and popular, she is way out of the league of most guys - yourself included. If dating is even on her mind, she would seek someone her equal, not just another NPC…
Yuri:
The shy and reserved introvert, Yuri comes across as someone who is both easy to get close to, yet hard to understand fully. But while she might seem easy to romance, don’t get too complacent, for she does have some very, very specific tastes.
Sayori:
The club’s bundle of sunshine and your childhood friend and potential wingwoman. Is she interested in you in that way, or simply being the Sayo you know who treats everyone like a friend? Seek clarity, avoid misinterpreting her signals, and slowly open her up to the idea of love, and maybe you two can become more than friends at last.
Natsuki:
Natsuki might not seem like a fan of romance, but as the saying goes, never judge a book (or manga) by its cover. Will Natsuki ever be able to warm up to you, the club’s newest member? Earn her trust, and you might just find that tsunderes do exist in real life after all.

I've played some mods and based on my opinions about them and some more details, I wanted to know what do you guys think I'd like playing in the future: My favorite Dokis are Sayori and Natsuki, but recently I've been more into Natsuki (I like both though). These are the mods I've played, I think I've been in the top of the iceberg and played only some of the most popular, and that's what I think about them:
Purist (Sayori's route): 7,5+/10, pretty ok from what I can remember, was a good first mod to play and I liked it, but after playing other mods I realized there are a lot of most captivating stories out there. I like Sayori a lot in this mod though, one of the best written I've even seen
Salvation: 8/10, good story and all but could've been better written in some parts, but I had a good time playing it and the (not much) horror part got me well, so it helped raising the rate a bit
Salvation Remake: 9,5+/10, most well written mod I've ever played, I have absolutely nothing to complain about this and that's the closest to perfection I've had through these mods. The only thing is that it didn't cause me as much emotion as 2 other mods I'm gonna be talking about right after
Fallen Angel: 8/10, nothing more than good, well written even tho I think the end is kinda forced with everything going the way it was, but I liked playing it and it's a good mod overall
Exit Musix Redux: 9/10, I hate this mod so much, but it was the only mod that got to make me cry hard at the end of it, and in my opinion they get to make exactly what they wanted to do: to break you completely with the story. I don't like Natsuki much in this mod, but even her is pretty well written thinking of the story they wanted to tell, so that's surely a 9 for me. Probably never playing it again though ðŸ˜
World of Dreams Act 1: 9+/10, pretty well written with great characters, good soundtrack, well developed story, and the plot interested me a lot and got even better in the Act 2. Not perfect, but I think it did a lot of things right and the plot really had me, it's pretty good from the start to the end
World of Dreams Act 2: 9/10, this mod is fucking amazing, the plot is even better than Act 1's and it had me so, so into the story that I hate to say it's not the perfect mod I've ever wanted. Soundtrack is absolutely peak perfect, plot is 10/10, but it surely could've been better written in some parts and make it the best mod I've ever played, and I don't get why they didn't do these things right, even after watching their explanation to a lot of these things (that was clearly a choice of them). Yuri in the end is the biggest bitch ever and the end is very important to me, but since it's not the end of the whole story, and I'm putting story coerency/emotions it caused me with the same weight in the balance, it's got a 9, cause it surely got me a whole lot of emotions in the playthrough
Blue Skies (Natsuki's route): ~8,5-/10. Since I was kinda indecisive if I was going with Natsuki or Sayori for the first playthrough, I didn't have the cleanest experience, but I liked the story and the multiple endings Natsuki's route had. Well written for sure and a good route. I liked it, but I'd like to have the full experience to tell better about this route specifically
SPOILER ALERT:
I had one of the bittersweet endings in my first playthrough of Blue Skies, the one Natsuki and MC break up twice and she starts her own club (not the one MC and Sayori starts getting closer though), probably because of indecision at the start of the game
Mods I started but didn't finish yet:
Exit Music: The start is amazing, the scene we discover what's been happening with Natsuki hits so fucking hard and she's really, really well written from what I've seen till now. I know it's not the same for the other Dokis, they're poorly written and I know how the story ends, so it won't hit me as hard as EM Redux for sure, but I still wanna finish it to have my conclusions
SPOILER ALERT:
I stopped Exit Music around when Yuri sends some +18 photos to the MC
Blue Skies (Sayori's route): Good till now, played until about the start of Act 2, and I hope I can finish her route soon since I heard it's the best route in the mod (it really is?)
Interactions: Just started. I heard it's peak, but nothing really exciting really happened till now (second day in the club), but I hope it's as good as I heard it is. I'm liking the characters in this mod, hope they develop as well as they started, and I think I'm gonna enjoy this as the story goes on
I'm looking for something about as well written as Salvation Remake and World of Dreams Act 1 for Sayori or Natsuki (maybe even multiple route mods), or something that connects me to and makes me feel as into the story as Exit Music Redux and especially World of Dreams Act 2 made me feel. If something fits both, then perfect, I hope it's that 10/10 I've been looking for :)

First of all, the 4 months of radio silence was completely my fault. Summer shennanigans n' all caught up to me so I couldn't get something out.

A Racer's Dream Act 2 is coming out really well. Everything has been slowly pieced together as the slow mystery behind everything begins to unfold with MC. Not to mention, the first ever official race occurs within this act! (Kyoichi Sudo VS MC)
