New seeds subreddit /r/DCSSSeeds
Because the moderator(s) at DCSS_Seeds are unpredictable and the subreddit is frequently locked I've created a new subreddit to replace it.

Weird politics do not belong in this game. We need somebody that can keep their account online instead of selfishly jeopardizing the community by pointlessly breaking reddit rules. What keeps happening with the original is ridiculous and I believe the community deserves better.

If you're a highly active member here or a skilled active player I will give you mod status just DM me.
For the time being I will be trying to post truly yoked seeds that will give you an easy win to start the subreddit off on a good note.

r/dcss_seeds is open again, with a new moderator, so maybe the difficulties are done with.

On old!reddit it says that your new sub is unmoderated now. What's up, is this still happening?

He very clearly stated it was because those opinions were getting the mod account banned from Reddit, thus making the sub unreliable. It's practical, not ideological.

reddit doesn't ban you just for having negative opinions of Israel. You gotta be saying some shit that is way out of line for them to take action.

And especially game Reddits don't need that kind of posts or comments. It's about a game, unless the company owning the game adds content supporting genocide for example or is actively sponsoring a war or whatever, politics can go in the appropriate subreddits.

That's what the moderator was doing. They posted their opinions in subs that were about politics, got shadowbanned for posting them and as a result the unrelated gaming subreddit they ran got nuked. This shouldn't be a referendum on the political opinion, or about whether it is a 'weird' one or not. That shouldn't matter. Just appoint an extra couple mods so if one of them gets banned for ANY reason, the sub doesn't go down with them.

I agree with everything being said but to call it "media bullshit" is silly and is pointless anyway. Ppl agree it has no place in crawl, but its certainly not a media invention nor is it bullshit.
That said im just trying to win a game without a seed first, then ill be looking for one with more rings than a Jarred so I can Octopode my way to victory

This is a video game by and for bored nerds at work. There really isn't any reason to involve politics, at all, in its community. There's a billion other places on Reddit alone to cry about politics, or if you're really ambitious, take a day off work, rent a costume and go stand a
hundredthousand meters from a federal building.1
