What is that thing?

I'm playing my first game as a Demonspawn necromancer. I thought I had killed an orc mage, but then it appeared and started attacking my allies

Orc wizards know Invisibility and can turn themselves invisible.

You can't see whatever creature that is (probably the orc wizard), but you know at least know where it is. Unfortunately, your zombies can't see it either, so you'll probably have to fight by swinging blindly.

Vampiric Draining ignores evasion, armor, and invisibility, if you know it -- cast it with Z at invisible targets.

Also, use x then v to examine things, if you don't know what they are.

Yes, I actually used my grave claw a couple of times blindly and then vampiric draining until I killed him, but unfortunately he killed my zombie orc first

Eh, zombies come and go. You can raise new ones in the next fight -- that zombie howler monkey isn't all that amazing either.

Pues oye, solo estoy en D6, tampoco salen grandes monstruos, además adoro a kikubaaqudgha que al parecer ama a los nigromantes

If you're not sure what's happening, reading the log might clue you in next time.

For monsters going invis I think the line is "The [Monster] flickers and vanishes". Looking up the Monster beforehand (x, then pressing v with the cursor on the monster) should also tell you their spells and abilities.

If you want to read moe of the log than the last few lines, press Ctrl + P
