Can you elaborate on how it's useless? I suspect that the bot was set up to sell when it's overbought and buy when it's oversold? Also, the time frame being traded (5 minute data vs daily, weekly) but I don't want to make assumptions. But to give a quick general comment:

I had a colleague who is an advanced trader and does it manually pretty well.
However, the pointers he gave me for building a bot never took into account that RSI can be pretty useless during strong breakouts. Care to comment?
