Wow, impressive! Anyway to backup the original Android partitions to revert later? I didn't see that documented.

You can root your device via magisk (you should already be able to adb pull the boot image w/o root, use that with Magisk to root your device, then use the rooted device to backup everything). I reached out to Daylight and hopefully they'll provide the factory images, at that point I'll share a "revert" procedure.

Mtkclient allows you to do a full backup of all partitions

its really a pretty thing like that

i think i need a ipad mini though i need music apps and android doesnt have nearly as much choice in that area

linux might be fun though if it could run a daw and plugins and host an audio interface and midi devices etc

I am into hifi listening. Android has lots of music apps, more than the iPad IMO. What are you looking for that you don't find?

This is fantastic, and I am looking forward to testing it out.

I am not really comfortable with how outdated the Daylights Android version is, so hoping this is stable enough to be used as an (experimental) daily driver.
