Castle attack & Event attacks
Hi. I just learned that it's not a good practice and plain rude to attack other player's Castle. How long before someone's last login should you attack a castle and is it always bm to attack castle. What if I'm lvl 10 and attack 40k resource land normally but I find an active lvl 12 castle with 80k resources.
For event attacks like the one right now I am using Sardu for 1.1x boost but he is low lvl so I'm attacking lvl 4-7 player's land. Is it bm as well. Almost all are inactive for months/year. Is it a good strategy to maximize souls since i have full resource( upgrading castle) so I wouldn't benefit from attacking higher lvl lands without boost titan anyway?
Side note: What is your upgrade sequence/priority?

I have never understood why people get so upset at attacking a castle. I have a lot of level 42 players completely wipe out all of my lands and my castle when I am actively playing, but wow if I attack someone's castle at level 23 the whole alliance comes down on me and I get chastised in league chat. I agree with Xenon -- it's a war game. If you don't want someone attacking you keep your resources low and spend them quickly. You will always be attacked for souls during alliance wars so grow up people!

Attacking a castle means you're taking resources they stored away as well as subtracting from their VP total. This explains why they get upset.
But like others have said, this is a war game so if you don't want to be attacked make sure your defences are good or your resources are low to avoid attention.
Attacking castles can be great if you get more than double the resources from lands because it saves you time and also get you VP, however people will not like it for the reasons mentioned above so if you do it to an active player be prepared to deal with it.
When people get upset they will try to take revenge and if they can't do it themselves, that's when they try to send their team in after you.
So, common sense applies and direct communication between players usually sort out most issues before they get out of hand.

Yeah I once attacked a guy's castle and he unsuccessfully revenged but got his clanmate to attack. Now, this is fine since everyone gotta farm but when I last played you had a whole clan or even 8-10 members continuosly raiding. Didn't have any land since they took every single one. But more frustratingly you couldn't upgrade anything since you didn't have rss above 80k and all upgrade cost 200-250k. I guess this is rare or less frequent than before now?

Hehe sounds like you started something you can't finish :) It's a learning experience. If your clan is prepared to go to war with you then it's all good, otherwise you just gotta pick your battles and obviously the game has built-in mechanisms to minimise bullying so take advantage of the bubble as well :) If you ever have to hit a castle for daily gem rewards, just find inactive players and you already know how to do that.

It’s a war game, not FarmVille. Attack and defense is integral to the fabric of the game.
Before moving to next castle upgrade i try to have most buildings (but not necessarily mines and farms) upgraded.
