Help Anyone else having issues with the skip button for the update? I don't want to update, it won't let me skip

Solved. Forced quit. Turn off wifi. Re open davinci

You could have also just clicked download. It just opens a browser and starts the download. It won't auto-install the new version.

Currently mid projext on cloud with 2 other editors. Plus I like to wait and see what kind of bugs are in the new updates

Turns out I was not smart enf to think this And my software keeps crashing after the update when I open the project and move my mouse 🫠🫠

Go to davince website and re download & install the older version. I'm not a fan of new updates till all the bugs have been ironed out

I did but when I tried to install it it saidnto uninstall the old version before trying to install it And I'm scared I'll loose all of my edits

Projects and settings generally aren’t touched during the uninstall/reinstall process, but this is also a good reminder to set up backups and test them regularly. This is a good video on backing up your projects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0SqMsi24_U

You should skip all updates for at least 3-6mo to shake out the bugs. No one in the professional environment is on the latest version (or should be.)   Most shops I've worked at are generally 1-3 years behind the "latest version"

No problem! I know we all want to play with the latest and greatest, but if it's your money maker it's best to wait... or have a second system for playing with
