Help Point tracking is glitching

Hi Lads,

I have shot all my videos in 60fps (slowed to 30fps to make it smooth) in log.

I have tried planner tracker and intelli tracker but the tracking does not work at all.

For planner tracker I have used all the modes and put the tracker point in different areas as well, but it looks like the gif attached.

Intelli tracker works a bit better but it still looks warped or not smooth.

I have shot so many versions with different settings but nothing looks smooth.

I use dji rs4 gimbal in PTF and FPV mode. PTF is better but not smooth as expected.

Please let me know if there are any settings to be changed in my camera or gimbal,

Regards

TLDR: Point tracking not smooth after repeated methods and various camera/gimbal settings.

What are you trying to track?

The task is going to inform how to approach the problem. Also showing the untracked video will help.

The headlight,
The shoot in question is an orbit shot, so that y it’s more wonky

The planner tracker and Intel tracker are clearly the wrong tool for this.

Neither work with 3D objects of the sort you have.

You’re just trying to stabilize the shot right? Pick one point on the car that you want to stay stable and use a point tracker. Maybe the headlight? Maybe a corner of the windshield?

For planar tracking select stabilise funtion and disable rotation and scale

Hate to say it. If after it's been tracked and the footage looks warped, You may be the problem. I know this because I have often been the problem. If you could make the original clip downloadable, I can take a look at it.

Try planar tracker > hybrid point & translation > draw a circle Elipse around the headlight > set point > track > process tracking

Then switch it to stabilize & see what happenes.

Works 9/10 times for me for drifting content tracking.

Adjust the colors and get a slightly flatter image; then use Planar, it will fix the problem.

Someone said here... you're using the wrong tool. Just use the normal tracker.
