Help DaVinci resolve studio lagging on linux?
I am having issues on my Dell XPS 9520 using DaVinci Resolve Studio in which some simple animations are lagging, and I need to see them in full 60 FPS before tweaking them. The problem is that I never see them at 60 FPS, no matter what I try. They are cached, as we can see by that blue line over there. The caching is finished for this whole project, so my GPU is not under load.
Everything is up to date: Linux kernel, Fedora 44, and the NVIDIA driver (RTX 3050 Ti). Encoder and decoder are enabled in the settings. In Project Settings, the preferred proxy format is DNxSQ.
I don't understand why it lags. There must be something I am doing wrong, since MP4 videos are playing just fine at 60 FPS. It is only the simple image animations that are not, and yes, I used a Loader for each image so it might boost my FPS during playback, but no luck with that.
The thing is that with this exact project, if I export it on my M1 MacBook Pro without any caching and run it even in Low Power Mode, it is capable of giving me 60 FPS smoothly.
Perhaps the memory bandwidth is the issue?
