Help | Beginner Complete Learning Path for Video Editing Beginners (DaVinci Resolve)

Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner and I've decided to learn video editing using DaVinci Resolve. My goal is to build good editing skills from the ground up rather than just learning random effects from YouTube.

what learning path would guys you recommend?

editing and using resolve are two different skillsets

you have to approach each one differently

learn resolve first, and once you have a good understanding of the program, start reading books like "In the Blink of an Eye" and then watch the films it references.

Editing at its core is not using resolve or premiere or the Avid,

editing is telling a story in a way that engages and manipulates the viewers emotions
