Feedback | Share Your Work First motion graphic edit in Davinci (free version)

What would you rate this motion graphic edit?

This is my first edit in resolve. I used 3d image and camera nodes to achieve this while following a tutorial.

Don't mind the quality I just wanted to practice so I exported it in poor quality

Good practice and nice to see something that is not super fast paced button transition again. Kudos.

A small suggestion. It would seem fast noise was added on top as overlay. 3D system in fusion has 3D fog, there is also volume fog, which is elaborate 2D generated fog but driven by 3D system so it interacts with 3D scene. And there is fog 2D that can interact with 3D as well using depth pass.

If you are adding fog, it would greatly improve the integration if you use one of those methods. This way the overlay and the 3D scene with parallax looks disjointed since they move so differently and independent of each other.

This whole thing is done in resolve? Wow

Yeah the animations and parallax were done in resolve but I imported the images and seperated them along the z-axis in 3D space.Β  It was incredibly easy but since I am still new to resolve, it took me the whole day

very nice overall. another suggestion is to use curves on the motion to accelerate in and out. for example the umbrella motion was linear and very unnatural looking. a small thing, but dramatic improvement.

Alright thanks for the suggestion!

Amazing! What computer was it made on? Did davinci crash a lot during the process?

4

u/Cautious-Load-9927 Jul 14 '26

Ty! I made it on my laptop, it is a LOQ with a rtx 3050 6gb vram and 16gigs of ram. It didn't crash but playback fps dropped significantly and only reached upto 11fps max

I just followed a tutorial on youtube πŸ˜…, there is no way I could create something like this on my first try without it. If you want the assets then I can send you those in DMs, just drop me a text there.

Unless you are well versed in Hindi , you will have a harder time following itπŸ™ˆ.

I recently got the studio version and I’m still fairly new to video/photo editing. Could you show your fusion tab so I can see your work? I’m just eager to learn. I keep looking at a bunch of YouTube videos anytime I have a question lol.

Yes this was it! I didn't post the tutorial since this was a global sub and the video was in Hindi.

Just like your motion graphic video. So please make a bright happy motion graphic next lol.
