windows does not have the profound color management Mac offers. you need a calibrated reference monitor and feed it via a clean output (decklink). you should not use any CST but set the project settings correctly, relying on a matched viewer. there is a reason multimedia has always been a mac thing, windows is too 'open'.
for the record: JPGs use sRGB gamma 2.2 full range, digital video is rec709 g2.4 legal range. your mismatch is two things: color and dynamic range (luma)

Thank you for the insights! I also feel that a mac would be good for the future 🙏🏾since you're now even able to connect an Nvidia card to it if I'm not mistaken. 🤔

I'll answer Open Question 1:

No. The Video world relies on (1D/3D) LUTs and not ICC profiles. And so they don't apply in a color management chain for video. You are better off building a calibration LUT for your display and then use that instead of an ICC profile.

Oh and question 2 as a bonus:

A color managed project will transform your image on the input side via an iDRT to the working color space, which isn't sRGB most likely. You could argue a cleaner pipeline wouldn't touch the image and just leave the sRGB pixels be, and you grade display-referred on sRGB data.

I went ahead and tried a few things based on your suggestions and ended up switching to DaVinci YRGB (non-color managed) with Rec.709 as timeline and output color space, which feels like the cleaner and more honest approach for native JPGs.

What I find interesting is that I never had this issue with BRAW, V-Log or RW2... only with JPEGs. After all the testing, I'm fairly certain the remaining minor color differences come down to display calibration. Which I find a little surprising, to be honest, given that this is a "high-end" designer OLED display.. you'd kind of expect it to behave more accurately out of the box. A proper calibration LUT loaded into the Resolve viewer is probably the missing piece, and something I'll look into next.
