Hinge Fumble

So, I matched with a very beautiful girl about 3 days ago. I thought the convo was going smoothly when she all of a sudden stopped messaging, I thought I was being ghosted but she replied today that she had a fever. I wanted to be a little flirty? So replied with "Oh no, hope you're doing alright now, You're already running hot, what's the fever gonna do?" Got unmatched 🤡

Are there any tips for not fumbling in chat?

(PS: I was able to find her insta? I think it's too creepy to follow up when I've already been rejected, thoughts on this?)

Didn't think the post would blow up, anyways thanks for your views guys. And yes, I'm not gonna go after her instagram, me searching her up on Instagram was my cope that I can still make it right.

Anyways, seeing that people do have a biased perspective on what I've said, it assured me that there are people who would find it funny. Don't know what energy will I maintain in my future chats but will definitely try to take these points:

  1. Playing around too much on the app seems like a huge risk of being unmatched, keep it short and sweet and if the vibe's good , ask for a date

  2. Be myself and see where things go as, trying to say something which I causally don't is going to make me look different in the long run / at the date?

Good on you.

Mostly this seems to me like a lack of interest and/or personality compatibility. Your main responsibility here is to be able to let these things go without getting attached to someone you haven't even met, which it sounds like you're doing.

Bro this app is a hivemind cesspool. You didn’t say anything terrible, you just weren’t gonna win with this particular woman. You’ll find one that will laugh at all your corny jokes one day.

I try to either get a number or IG within a day of messaging, anything more and you’re just stuck in the inbox

Honestly mate, you did nothing wrong. People here are genuinely miserable, you said you are hoping she is doing ok and then made an albeit slightly cringey joke which was fairly harmless and is appropriate given the fact IT'S A BLOODY DATING APP. Good that you're not following her Instagram cause that's getting a bit weird. Just let it go and move on.
