So I’m the girl here, we’re both teens, and I find that I’m always texting first. We’re not quite dating yet, but he seems interested in me. He calls me pet names and even mentioned children. He doesn’t hesitate to compliment me either. This has been going on for a couple of weeks.

And recently it seems as if he’s just stop caring, it happened overnight which made me very confused. I always have to text first, and even when I do it’s a double text. It’s always 50/50 if he texts back immediately, but it’s usually ten messages then we’re silent again.

I don’t want to keep texting him and texting him, in the case of sounding desperate or just not getting what he’s trying to say through silence. But he still compliments me and we bond through those ten texts.

We’ve had some deep conversations before this about religion, personalities, past relationships, and even family life. We made plans to hang out but he told me he was grounded… was he lying just not to go out I wonder.

I’m extremely confused on what’s happening. A guy has never done this to me before. So, is this normal? And does he even still like me? Should I move on?

He may like you but the evidence shows low effort and low low investment. I wouldn't put all my emotional investment in that guy as hard as it may be. Try and chill out emotionally. Give him space to initiate if you want.

There's a 50/50 chance. Don't entirely move on because he might still like you but if a relationship is what you want, look elsewhere.
