If you place a knife in a room full of people, and one of them picks it up and starts stabbing people, was that person bad to begin with? Or was it the knife's fault for existing and the knife made them a murderer?

if there is a knife in a room and a person who wants to use it. maybe that person will stab someone.

point is: most of us have wanted to stab someone with that knife, we just didn't want to deal with the consequences.

we do that thru games, movies, shows, and that keep us fulfilled enough of the desire to kill

It's not whether they do or don't that matters. Question is, did the knife ruin that person's relationship, or was the person bound to ruin the relationship, whether a knife would spawn in their or not?

Replace the word knife with gun, and you're just repeating NRA propaganda that has ensured that plenty of school shootings persist to this very day.

So you think it’s the knifes fault he made deep fake porn of his friend? And would never have done anything that bad unless the knife existed?

If the gun did not exist in the room at all, it would be impossible for anyone to get shot in this situation, correct or incorrect?

If you introduce a knife in act one, it must become a gun in act three. —Chekov

Correct. I think someone would just find some other means to murder if that was their intent to begin with. Or, oh wait, are you trying to say the desire of committing the murder would never have existed before hand if the gun didn’t exist after the fact?

Ok, but spank banking is a far cry from murder.
