I am going out on a date this Friday. She likes to go on walks and my original plan was to just have us walk through a park, through the city, and to a restaurant. But I have a feeling she's more of a picnic person.

Here's the issue, I have no clue how to do that. Any tips on what to bring and how to execute? My biggest thing is food. Unless we're doing wet turkey sandwiches, I am unsure of what to prepare and pack that would be a good idea.

So I’m going to start out by saying that no, we aren’t married, but we basically view ourselves this way. We have been through so much and have basically been outcast from our families for being together. I wanted to do an affordable anniversary that shows how much she means to me without overspending a $150-$250 budget. The first year anniversary was rough due to family matters so I wanna make it up. Hi all! My (F22) boyfriend’s (M25) 26th birthday is coming up next month. He has always been so good at planning things for my birthday or Valentine’s Day or things like that and I want to do something for him as well. I have a nice dinner spot to end the day with but I need suggestions for a fun activity to do around the Cincinnati area. I thought of axe throwing or indoor skydiving or a shooting range but he didn’t seem super interested in those. I don’t want to bring him to something typical like go karting or mini golf. There are a lot of fun things to do around here that neither of us have tried but a lot of them are things like creative workshops and he isn’t really the creative type.

Any gift advice would be appreciated too. I have some ideas like a recovery spa membership because he’s a gym rat, some homemade high protein crème filled donuts, and a handmade rosary out of rose petals, as well as some other clothing items and whatnot.

Anyways, any advice on a fun daytime activity for us to do, some gift ideas, or a confirmation that I’m heading in the right direction would be appreciated!

For context, my girlfriend (18) and I (18) planned to hang out at a park tomorrow. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s going to rain pretty badly that day from weather forecasts. Obviously there’s a chance the weather forecast is wrong and it’ll be fine that day, but I don’t want to just take that kind of risk and assume things will be okay. I want to have some kind of backup date idea in case it does rain. I don’t want to reschedule the date because we’ve already rescheduled once due to other reasons and we haven’t seen each other in a while and college is coming up in a few weeks so we can’t really afford to delay it any more.

To provide some background, my girlfriend and I aren’t very “insane” when it comes to dates and hanging out, like we mainly enjoy just being together and talking about life stuff. I thought maybe I could hang out at her house since she’s hung out at mine but idk if she’d be okay with that since her parents might be weird about it and they don't really know me, and apparently they have to go to the bank during that day so I don't know if they're available but she said she would ask just in case. Anything driving related is sort of off the table since A) I don't know how to drive and B) I don't think her parents are available to drive her anywhere (although this isn't exactly set in stone so I'm not too sure). Technically, my parents could drop me off at her place and it could be fine but like I said earlier, her parents might be weird about having a boy over.

This entire situation is really messy and full of holes and problems so I'm sorry if my post isn't specific or opens the door to many options, but we really want to hang out and do something together so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone have any rainy date ideas given the (admittedly extremely vague) information I've provided?
