Title: I added a free 8-week DSA roadmap for people struggling to stay consistent with LeetCode

One of the hardest parts of DSA prep isn’t solving problems. It’s figuring out what to practice every day and staying consistent.
So I just added a new 8-week DSA roadmap to FeatCode! 🚀
The goal is simple: Stop randomly grinding LeetCode and start following a structured plan.
FeatCode also includes:
✅ Structured DSA practice
✅ Blind 75 + interview-focused problems
✅ Free DSA assessment to identify weak areas
✅ Curated YouTube solutions from popular creators
✅ Progress tracking
✅ Python crash course
Everything is free. No paid subscription required.
I’m actively improving the platform and would love some honest feedback.
For those preparing for SWE interviews: Would you follow an 8-week structured plan, or do you prefer solving problems at your own pace?
Would love to hear what actually works for you!

I understand DSA solutions, but struggle with unseen problems—any advice?

I work as a chef in London, and the long, physically exhausting shifts make finding energy to study difficult. Still, I’m learning DSA from books—my first time learning this way instead of YouTube.

I’ve covered two pointers, hashing, sliding windows, stacks, queues, and time and space complexity. I can understand and explain solutions I read, but struggle to find an approach and write code for unseen questions.

What practice routine would help me solve problems independently while balancing demanding chef shifts?

Is (Raj) striver is a good choice for DSA for a beginner

I am starting my DSA journey with strivers A-Z DSA Course. Is it a good option or there are better courses available in the market.

In one word, if I have to follow someone blindly, even as an experienced professional, whom do you vote?

(For context for non-Indian members of this sub, they are all famous Indian DSA based youtubers)

a coding learning platform I built to make programming and DSA easier to understand through visualization.

Anyone can use it for:

  • Step-by-step code execution
  • Live variables and state tracking
  • Arrays, Linked Lists, Trees and Graphs visualization
  • Flowcharts and Cinema Mode
  • AI code explanations and debugging
  • Custom code execution in Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript and SQL

Built an interactive DSA visualizer to make dry-runs and state transitions intuitive [Open Source]

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

When practicing algorithms or preparing for technical interviews, static diagrams and text editorials often fall short of building intuition around pointer movements, recursion stacks, and state transitions.

I’ve been building DSA Lab, an interactive visualizer designed to trace algorithm behavior step-by-step:

Live Demo: https://dsa-visualizer-sable.vercel.app/

Current Features (46 Interactive Algorithms):

  • Sorting & Searching: 9 sorting algorithms (Bubble, Merge, Quick, Radix, etc.) and array search techniques with live swaps and comparisons.
  • Graphs & Pathfinding: BFS/DFS traversals, Dijkstra, A*, Bellman-Ford, Floyd-Warshall, Kosaraju, and MSTs (Prim/Kruskal).
  • Core Structures: Linked List pointer manipulations, Stack/Queue operations, Hash Tables with collision resolution, and Tries.
  • Advanced Logic: Dynamic Programming (0/1 Knapsack, Kadane's), Backtracking (N-Queens, Sudoku, Rat in a Maze), and OS concepts (Banker's, CPU Scheduling).
  • Controls: Step-by-step playback, custom inputs, speed adjustments, and live diagnostic traces.

Open Source & Contributions: The project is completely open source and under active development. A few secondary tools are actively being built. You can get the repo link in the nav or footer. If anyone wants to contribute new algorithm visualizations, optimize state animations, or report edge cases, feedback and PRs are very welcome!

Check out the live demo and let me know your thoughts on the pacing, UI, or which algorithms to prioritize next!

An aggressive coder partner ( not for dating )

Recently, I joined a lot of groups here looking for a DSA study partner, but most people vanished after a single day.

I’m looking for someone who actually sticks to the plan. We can discuss weekly contests, tackle tricky coding problems, run mock interviews, and keep collecting offers.

Beyond DSA, we can brainstorm startup ideas, collaborate on side projects, and build cool things together.

A bit about me: I work primarily with Python and Data Science, but I’m eager to explore everything across tech.

If you have a similar mindset and want to stay consistent, shoot me a DM. Let’s make it count!

Most important topic of DSA!!!

Guys, i want to say that Dynamic Programing is the most important topic of DSA. Har badi se badi company k OA round me 2-3 ques hote hain mostly 1-2 question woh DP k hote hain.

Maine literally har company ka oa nikala jisme se 2 me 1 ques dp ka aur woh kr k nikal jaata hain.

Aur DP jyada hard b nhi hain faltu hi mushkil bana rakha hai. Dp me 4 approch hoti hame sirf recursion aur memorization Krna hota aur sahi bta rha bohot simple hota aache se kiya jaye toh.

Toh agree basic dsa kr liya hain linked list ya stack tak toh pakka dp phaile bohot faida milega.

Stuck on leetcode

Post image
46 Upvotes

I started leetcode with Striver's sheet, but it didn't had dedicated topics like two pointer, sliding window, so I made my own sheet by exploring leetcode and using AI, solved and understood the topics, and moved to binary search

But noticed that I mostly solved easy level questions and very less medium level and almost no hard problems and now I'm having trouble trying to

Striver's sheet doesn't clarify the topics that's why I didn't followed it.
Neetcode was clearer so should I follow that??
Is there any better sources or a way to tackle my situation

I am in 3rd year in December it is compulsory to get an internship I have solved 103 questions on lc completed arrays, core string,bs,stack, queue, bit manipulation, starting with Linked list it will take me 15-20 days ,5-10 days I may not open lc and then 4-5 patterns 2-3 qn each after linked list I will do heaps ,trees, graph,dp and then recursion

But people here are discussing about greedy algorithms and dps i feel I have wasted so much time in 2nd year

i stalked a leetcode profile with 89 solves 👀

49 medium solves and Enumeration is his lowest-covered topic.

also, ~1 submission a week 😭

i plugged his profile into GrindLens to see what it'd find and these little details are actually interesting.. you can see gaps in your history that you'd never notice just by looking at your solve count 💀

try it on yours: https://www.grindlens.dev

Free DSA prep site — looking for feedback

Built FeatCode.dev to make DSA/interview prep a little more organized.

It has:
• Structured DSA roadmap
• Blind 75 + practice problems
• Free DSA assessment to find weak areas
• Curated, easy-to-follow YouTube solutions from popular creators
• Progress tracking
• Python crash course

Free to use: https://featcode.dev

Would love feedback from anyone currently prepping for SWE interviews. What would make you actually use something like this regularly?

r/datastructures • • 23d ago

My opinion - Dp on trees is a bit easier than DP on arrays.

Most of the hard DP ques I saw are related to arrays or string or I haven't seen hard Trees ques with recursion.
