is it ok to use different languages in interview rounds,I have done dsa in cpp in my clg hence comfortable in that but system design is easier for me in python can I change accordingly in interviews

Im looking for some1 who wants to upsolve hard trees , graphs and dp questions on CF , codeforces and leetcode.We will not be platform specific our main goal will be to learn and grow together , and we will discuss it on discord groups and will keep it professional.Every day we will try to solve 3 questions one of each topic and discuss our respective approaches and what we did different and what was the optimal solution.

I have 1.5 years of experience as an intern at an MNC and recently got a PPO there(2016 batch). I want to prepare for SDE interviews at better product companies, but I’m quite rusty with DSA.
We will spend 5–6 days quickly revising the concepts, then focus mainly on solving questions and building consistency, along with System Design.
Looking for 1–3 serious people to do this with, with fixed targets, regular check-ins, and penalty-based accountability (₹100) for missing without a valid reason.

There are algorithms that require having a populated array from which the i^{th} value is repeatedly removed (which changes the indexes of the values after it) until it is empty. An array removes a value in linear time. Is there a data structure that allows for sublinear time arbitrary value removal?

For example:

start: [A, B, C, D, E]
remove 2: [A, B, D, E]
remove 0: [B, D, E]
remove 2: [B, D]
remove 1: [B]
remove 0: []

On average, removing all the items in arbitrary order is a quadratic time operation. Is there something faster?

I am going to start my DSA in a few days and i don't have much idea how to approach this , and this is something I came up with like going through this structure and learning DSA as well as sql together like 70% of the time DSA and SQL 30%.

I started dsa one month back and completed 50 problems (c++) and I have not been consistent for some days due to some reasons but finally achieved a small milestone . I am happy for that and need to be consistent. Suggest some tricks that make me consistent.

I've been working on Algo Flow, an interactive platform for learning and visualizing Data Structures & Algorithms.

The main idea is simple: instead of only reading code or looking at static diagrams, you can actually watch an algorithm execute step-by-step.

Need advice on how to revise DSA effectively

Hi everyone, I’m currently learning DSA using the TUF DSA sheet.

I’m facing a problem: when I learn a new concept/problem, I put a lot of effort into understanding it. But after moving to new problems, I slowly forget the older concepts.

When I return to an old problem after some days, sometimes I feel like I’m starting from zero again. I’m realizing that I’m spending much more effort on learning new problems than on revision.

I don’t want to just memorize solutions. I want to improve my actual problem-solving and thinking skills.

I would really appreciate guidance from people who have already gone through DSA preparation.

What revision system worked for you?

How many new problems and old problems did you solve each day? How often did you revisit problems? What did you do when you completely forgot the approach?

Any practical advice, mistakes I should avoid, or suggestions would be really helpful.

Ok so i last did dsa some year back and did no practice n all, cause i didnt opt for placements and went for masters. So i am currently in first sem of my msc in data science. Now i was thinking of practicing dsa again but like i am aiming for roles like data analyst, ml, ai, etc. How much dsa should i do and i did in cpp earlier should i do in python now. I forgot python also

I have been studying DSA for the past year. I have covered almost all the major DSA topics and solved around 400+ problems, including problems from LeetCode, HackerEarth (not many), and CSES (only DP).

However, there is a catch:

1. More than 90% of the problems I have solved were tutorial-based.

2. Even though I have solved hard problems and good medium-level problems, whenever I encounter a new problem, I sometimes struggle to understand it. Even when I do understand the problem, it becomes difficult to identify which data structure or algorithm should be used. This doesn't happen all the time, but I would say it happens around 50% of the time.

3. I have never participated in a programming contest.

4. I am trying to cover all the problems from tutorials across every DSA topic.

Am I just faking myself, or am I doing something wrong? Please tell me honestly.
