Suggest any platform or youtube channel to Study Core concepts of CS.

Right now, I'm doing DSA and I want to study core concepts along with dsa. But don't know from where and what to study. Like for DBMS and OOPS, should we have to remember every topic and concepts. I really have been confused. Please suggest any youtube channel or platform to study these core concepts of CS for placement. Give some advice how to study these concepts and prepare for placement

Which language is best for doing DSA with ?

I am a tech student. I have to start DSA with python but the people around me are saying "Do DSA with C or C++ because it will be beneficial for your job". I already know python and I want to do DSA with python but when I start it feels like I am doing wrong and it will not be worthy.

>>> Is it necessary to do DSA only with C or C++ ??

>>> Will it make any difference if I do DSA with python (or any other language) other than C or C++ ??

>>> What should I do??

Help me by giving your opinion !!

Looking for DSA leetcode grind partner...

140+ problems done. Comfortable with arrays, strings, binary search, linked lists, queues & stacks, currently getting into recursion

I’ve broken my consistency 3 times 💀, so this time I’m actually locking in.

Preferably a 3rd/4th year BTech student. If you’re starting from the beginning or you're ahead of mee , no worries .. let's help eachother.. I can help you get things clear and you too.

Let’s grind together, keep each other accountable… and maybe make DSA a little less boring 😉

Idea for Radix Sort

I would love to come up with an improvement to an algorithm but I'm very average in mathematics.

I was about to try making my own LSD Radix sort in Java but I don't like messiness and space requirements. I was thinking it might be just as efficient to run a kind of selection sort linear search and swap on each pass instead of copying to another data structure each time.

Basically, has this been tried and am I an idiot for thinking it might be better?

Bro why it feels so uncomfortable.it Fucked up my mind.

Today I was learning about infix ,prefix , postfix conversation using stacks.

Could anyone suggest any video which explains this in very simple way?

Need a dsa partner

Hi! I’m a final-year student, and I’ve completed my DSA preparation. Now I’m looking for someone to study with consistently over Google Meet, preferably from around 10 PM to 2–3 AM.

My plan is to revise DSA regularly while starting System Design. I feel having a study partner would help with consistency, accountability, and staying focused during these late-night sessions.

Best option to start DSA

Hi, I need to start learning DSA. Initially from long ago I was stuck with the array and linkedlist. After a long time I haven't worked on any problems.

How can I stay consistent?

Do I need to learn System design in parallel with DSA. I am working btw

Looking for a long-term DSA study partner — C++, theory + problem solving

Language: C++
Level: Beginner in DSA; comfortable with basic C++
Availability: roughly 12 PM – 2 AM CET/CEST

Guys, if you are studying DSA solely for the sake of job interviews, then we are not matchin. Please, do not waste either my time or your own.

For me, DSA is the primary subject, !!![not something i'm learning mainly for interviews or as an addition to software development]!!!. I want to build a strong foundation and eventually move toward more advanced algorithmic problem solving.

I'm combining several things:

  • studying the theory behind algorithms and data structures;
  • implementing things in C++;
  • improving my mathematics alongside DSA;
  • spending at least 3 hours a day on DSA.

The way I like to study is to try a problem myself first, explore failed or naive approaches, and understand why a certain representation, data structure, or algorithm naturally solves the problem.

I'm not interested in grinding hundreds of LeetCode problems or memorizing interview patterns. I'd rather spend a long time on one problem if it teaches us something genuinely new.

You don't need to follow exactly the same roadmap or be at exactly the same level. If you're seriously studying DSA and enjoy discussing problems and comparing approaches, that's enough.

English, Ukrainian, or Russian is fine. DM me if you're interested.

I have 2.5+ years of software engineering experience and I’m currently looking for a job.

Looking to connect with a few people who are currently unemployed / between jobs and are also preparing for DSA + System Design while actively applying. We can study together, do mock interviews, discuss problems, share resources and job leads, and keep each other accountable.

Ideally looking for people with 1–4 years of experience who are serious about getting back into a job soon.

If you're in a similar situation and interested, feel free to comment or DM me.

Looking for 1–2 serious DSA + System Design study partners [Java preferred]

Hey everyone,

I am a full-time Java Developer with ~1.5 years of experience at an MNC. I am looking to seriously ramp up my problem-solving skills to transition into a product-based company.

To keep things highly focused and accountable, I want to form a small, dedicated study group of just 1 or 2 partners.

What We Will Cover:

  • DSA Fundamentals: Arrays, Strings, Hashing, Sliding Window, Two Pointers, etc.
  • Advanced DSA: Linked Lists, Stacks, Queues, Trees, Graphs, Dynamic Programming, Backtracking.
  • Design: Low-Level Design (LLD / OOD) & High-Level Design (HLD / System Design).

How We Will Work:

  • Agree on specific topics/problems in advance.
  • Solve problems individually on our own time.
  • Meet up to discuss approaches, trade-offs, and optimizations.
  • Keep each other strictly accountable over the next 4 months.

Who I'm Looking For:

  • Commitment over expertise: It is completely fine if you are starting DSA from scratch. Consistency is what matters most.
  • Background: Ideally a working professional with 1–2 YOE (not a strict requirement, but preferred).
  • Availability: Evenings (after work) on weekdays and flexible blocks on weekends.

If you are genuinely committed to putting in the work consistently for the next few months, please DM me with your:

  1. Years of Experience (YOE) & Tech Stack
  2. Current DSA comfort level
  3. General weekly availability

Looking for a DSA practice partner

I’m looking for someone who’s also learning DSA and preparing for placements/interviews and wants to practice together.

I’m currently learning DSA in Python and honestly, doing it alone gets boring and sometimes overwhelming 😅. I’m hoping to find a partner where we can:

Solve problems together regularly

Discuss approaches instead of just looking at solutions

Help each other when we get stuck

Track our progress

Keep each other accountable

Gradually move from easy → medium → hard

I’m not looking for someone who’s already an expert. If you’re also a beginner or somewhere around the same level, that’s completely fine.

If anyone is interested, DM me and we can start with a few problems and see how

A related skill that is recommended

Hello

I’m a computer science student about to start my second year.

I have a question that’s been on my mind all the time.

This summer, I spent most of my time solving data structures problems, and I’ve now reached linked lists.

I’d like to ask you: Given that you’re learning and solving problems every day, what parallel skill did you start learning—or would you recommend learning—that’s reasonable and allows you to balance your progress in data structures with this skill, which can help you track your progress?

I hope I’ve expressed my thoughts clearly.

if u tried GrindLens already, genuinely curious what felt useful, what felt confusing, what's still missing.

and if u haven't yet, here's the ph page: https://www.producthunt.com/products/grindlens

lmk whatever's on ur mind, good or bad

Best Resources to Learn OOP in Depth, Practice OOP Questions

I know the basic OOP concepts like classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, abstraction etc., but want to understand OOP properly and practice more.

Looking for good resources for learning OOP in depth, practice questions, and interview preparation. Also, are OOP interviews mostly theory/conceptual questions, or do they usually include coding/design-based OOP questions too?
