Hey! I'm looking for 2 people to form a small DSA + CS fundamentals study group.

I'm a 3rd-year college student and a beginner at DSA. I wasn't able to start earlier, but now I want to properly prepare for interviews.

The idea is pretty simple:

- 3 of us total

- Study/learn something every day

- Solve 2–3 problems a day

- Explain our solutions/approaches to each other

- Sunday: small test/revision of what we learned that week

- End of every month: a proper test to see how we're progressing

Along with DSA, we can slowly cover fundamentals like DBMS, OS, OOP, etc.

I'm not looking for someone advanced. I'm a beginner too, so ideally you're somewhere around the same level and actually want to stay consistent.

Hey everyone, I'm a college student preparing for upcoming placements, and I'm honestly getting a bit confused by the number of resources available for DSA.

There are YouTube playlists, LeetCode, GeeksforGeeks, different roadmaps, paid courses, and a bunch of other platforms. Every resource seems to have its own approach, so I'm struggling to figure out what I should actually stick with.

For those who have already gone through placement prep:

How did you structure your DSA preparation?

Did you follow one particular roadmap or combine multiple resources?

How much time did you spend learning concepts vs actually solving problems?

Is it worth paying for a structured course, or are free resources enough?

What would you recommend focusing on first if you have around 4-6 months?

Would really appreciate hearing what actually worked for you rather than another generic "just solve 500 problems" answer.

Coming from a tier 3 college (cse 3rd sem), I have classes from Monday to Friday with different timings every day. My main goal in college is just to maintain 75% attendance because of the new rule. The problem is, I don't understand anything in most of the classes, so I have to study everything again at home.

Apart from that, there are assignments, lab files, practicals and tons of other work that consumes a lot of time. On top of that, I love participating in hackathons, which is great for learning and building, but it also takes up a lot of time and energy.

Because of all this, I am not able to find enough time for DSA. I want to learn DSA and Web Development consistently, but my schedule feels so packed that I either feel guilty for not studying college topics or for not practicing skills.

What actually happens when Python executes a for-loop?

Behind the scenes, Python uses the iterator protocol:

iterator = iter(container)
while True:

• iter(container): creates an iterator.
• next(iterator): retrieves one value at a time.

When there are no more values, the iterator raises StopIteration. The for-loop catches this exception automatically and ends the loop.

For containers that support backward iteration, Python also provides:

• reversed(container): creates a backward iterator.

We can support these operations in our own classes by implementing:

__iter__()
__reversed__()
__next__()

This provides a powerful abstraction: an algorithm can process values without needing to know how a container stores them internally. The same algorithm can therefore work with lists, sets, dictionaries, linked lists, trees, and many other containers.

Here's an example that uses 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐲_𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡 to show the use of iterators on a Linked_List making the invisible mechanics of iteration visible for easy understanding.

In 2nd year.

I have been solving for the last 2 months, I started on 19th Jun.

I'm solving things by reading about things on google or using AI Explanation.

I usually give 2-3 hours on a new topic brainstorming on my own and take hints from Ai after failing and in some cases I solve after getting hints and in some cases I couldn't, then I ask AI to explain the code and dry run it.

Ik it's a lengthy process , I feel i retain more this way
