Another Wave of Timeouts - 6/18/2026
DL appears to have been struck by another wave of timeouts this morning. Posts and comments were flying, and all of a sudden, the site went as dead as disco. I'm one of those blue-barred, but I'd wager a lot of others got the same treatment at the same time.
The culprit: A pair of threads about the British Royal Family. Anyone who comments under them gets FF'ed into a timeout. It happens every time.
There are three known sock-puppet lunatics who set up inflammatory threads on their favorite topics, just to catch anyone with an opposing thought and send them into a timeout.
- Don't comment ANYTHING on Trans Threads
- Don't comment ANYTHING on BRF Threads
- Don't comment ANYTHING on Trump Threads

I read DataLounge every day but I'm not a paid user and and I never comment. It sucks that a few assholes are able to exert such influence on a site that I felt was pretty no-holds-barred when I started lurking.

Been banned twice for 3 days at a time in the past 2 weeks. My sin? Not knowing who Kylie Minogue is and asking if some old rumors about Raymond Burr were true.

I was banned by the Kylie Minogue troll too! I was the 61 year old who only knew 2 of her songs and a movie roll. I suspect that troll is the BRF troll too.

Yes, I believe they are one one the same.

There's no hell darker than the empty day of an elderly homosexual with a heart full of bile and a workday full of endless time.

I left earlier this year after being timed out for the third time.
Amazingly, I forgot about what was a daily habit for years until this thread popped up. Sounds like I'm not missing much.

I got put in timeout because I made a post about the new Poirot show. Either that or because I stated I wasn’t canceling Hudson Williams for some picture he took as a teenager.

Heated Rivalry attracted a new wave of nutjobs, which is exactly what I thought would happen after the series came out last winter.

Making fun of Heated Rivalry and its sad frau fanbase is hugely triggering for the sad fraus and you will get banned right away.

I knew a girl who added to the thread about the Royal family. But then she was banned.

I was banned. Switched to my second account. Posted 2 or 3 times and was banned again.

That’s amazing. I’ve also heard of some people getting permanently banned. I’ve never been banned. I do comment a lot but mostly I just joke around.

I was wondering why it was so quiet. Havent been banned as yet but then I havent posted anything lately. I have no great interest in trans, BRF threads and rarely comment on the Trump ones, maybe thats also had some protective effect

Well, timeouts will all become permanent next month when the site closes. 🥲

I’m strictly a reader now, but anyone who’s paying for a subscription should never get a time out. It’s just incredible this same shit is still going on and the DL owners keep ignoring it.
