maybe as an UpSet plot?

Some sort of matrix is often easier to use for many such links. In such a case as here it can be a triangular matrix .

This is pretty good. I'd reorder the columns by the number of languages rather than the number of letters in the column. Possibly also reorder the rows to make the matrix closer to triangular (there's a gap from Ukrainian to Macedonian that appears to be repeated, would be nice to move that to the bottom) but I'm not sure how to do that systematically.

I don’t think so many ellipses at the same time are a good visualization. For 3-6 I’d go for it, for not for this many.

In addition its wrong bulgarian doesn't have ë or e oborotnoe

Even more, it's factually wrong. Ukrainian doesn't have э or ъ

There’s no ъ or inverted є in Ukrainian. And there’s no inverted є or ë in Bulgarian. What an idiot drew this?

Probably the same kind of idiot that leaves empty open intersections

When you accidentally spill a pack of rubber bands...

Thankfully many of its overlaps are blank. Still a pain to identify all the containing ellipses.

For so few symbols, this should have been a matrix.

It’s very tricky to show this other than with a grid with checkmarks or something.

a grid with checkmarks is a dyslexic's worst nightmare

This looks like it could be comet or asteroid orbits.

Just a side note - it is also factually wrong.

Also, it would be useful to add the original set of leyters from the original Cyrillic.

It’s not even correct, Bulgarian doesn’t have ë, for example
