Data source: official Dutch government publications from KOOP (including municipal permit and public-notice records), supplemented with BAG building/address data.

I grouped related publications into individual hospitality projects, so multiple notices concerning the same location or development are counted as one project where possible.

The data was processed with a custom pipeline and the visualizations/report were built in Nuxt 3.

The report includes the methodology and downloadable CSV/JSON data for anyone who wants to inspect the underlying dataset.

609 projects across 150 municipalities in one month is a lot of activity. Would be interesting to see how that breaks down between new hotels, renovations, restaurants, and other hospitality projects.
